Review: Beach House Café

Beach House Café is a charming neighborhood spot with a cozy atmosphere and a beautiful location. Situated across from a lovely square and near the beach, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed coffee break, especially with easy access for a walk along the shore. One of the standout features is that it’s pet-friendly, making it a great option for those who like to bring their furry friends along. While it isn’t a luxurious venue, it serves its purpose well for a casual and carefree coffee experience. A lovely, laid-back place to unwind by the sea.

It's located in a great spot, overlooking long beach. Plenty parking available. Good variety of food on the menu. The food was pretty mediocre and pancake was a bit dry and bland, the plating looked messy with pancakes soaked in chocolate sauce but chips and haloumi on sourdough (a bit overpriced at $19) were okay. The toillet however was not well maintained and didn't feel hygienic.

I waited 22 minutes for 2 take away coffees, the staff were not very friendly and were clearly understaffed and under pressure. There were 3 of them on, one at the counter, one making coffee and one waitress.
It was 11am on a public holiday with temperatures going to reach 30 degrees, it seems obvious to me that you will likely be busy in the morning up until early afternoon.
The coffee was okay.

This rating is based on takeaway coffee. If you’re after weak coffee and slow morning service, this is the place for you. The staff aren’t unfriendly, but they’re not particularly welcoming either.

There are far better options in Sandy Bay and Taroona at similar or lower prices. I’d highly recommend Helios or Blac Fig over Beach House. It’s a shame because the location is fantastic.

I got the big breakfast and was able to swap out the hash brown for more bacon which I was pleased about because I really dont like hash browns. The mushrooms were so delicious as was the chorizo but it was quite a strong flavour. My partner enjoyed her meal, we reccomend this place.

I ordered the toasted Cheese, ham and tomato -take away! Horrible, wasn't cooked basically a sandwich, raw bread and tomato.
It was extremely busy with only 2 staff serving out the front that obviously didn't want to be there! They were huffing and puffing and were giving off a non approachable vibes.

I was waiting a while to be served so that's fine as they were busy but they didn't acknowledge me in any way.

After ordering, 25 minutes into my wait I was about to just leave but I had already paid.

All up from the time I entered, ordered and received my toasted sandwich 35 minutes.
It's a shame because we sat outside reading the reviews before we went in and they were quite good.

The coffee was really good. The girl working by herself, taking orders making coffee and running them and yet offering a good service she was amazing! Would be nice if she had a second person tho

Inside is absolutely filthy, layers of dirt on skirting boards, dead flies, more flies inside than out. Vinyl seats completely ripped.
