Good coffee and a great location across from Malabar Beach. Outdoor tables, and gets popular on weekends.

It's a touch... outdated in terms of menu and policies. There's a sign that says they don't do EFTPOS for under $20 and I nearly left, but the cashier said to ignore it (then take the sign down!) There's also a sign that instructs takeaway orders to wait outside. Warm and fuzzy.

We nearly ate here for brunch, but there weren't many veggie options. Even the corn fritters came with a meat. And can you even have a cafe in Australia without avo toast?!? ?

The coffee was really good. I'd give it a 3.5, but I think the proof is in that we decided to have our meal elsewhere.

The service is ridiculously slow, we waited for an hour for our food and the place only had another table. I am in the restaurant business myself, so I do understand the difficulties of being one on the job, but the demand wasn’t enough to be a problem if the people working there were able to organise themselves especially in the kitchen. Furthermore, a pigeon entered the place and managed to starch me and nothing was done by the staff. I did see the waitress was trying her best and she did apologies for the wait but the problem was the kitchen and the kitchen stuff. As The food was good though, I’ll give them that

Waited 20 mins for takeaway pastry and only got half my order. In the meantime the staff is on their phone and chatting to themselves. Definitely had a chance to put the customer first but did not.

Great spot for a cafe, on the corner of two “busy” roads with a nice view of the water. Coffee was great and the food was awesome - ordered the breakfast melt with chicken and it came with a delicious avocado salsa, tomatoes and a balsamic glaze. The unfortunate part was it took ages to get our drinks and food - other then that not a bad cafe to have a casual meal at.

After doing the Malabar Headland walk, This cafe is ideally located across the road from a very busy Malabar beach. Busy in winter when I was there. Being the only cafe to get coffee and eat, you would expect a pretty good offering. Sadly this was not we got. No visible COVIDSAFE plan and let’s say the interior is well used and could do with a good spring clean. Service was friendly but sadly lacking. Order was wrong, drinks order very slow and food quality, just. Sadly there is no where else to go!

Cute little cafe with a lovely view. Order was a little slow even though it was relatively quiet. Overall the food and coffee was nice, however my sourdough was overcooked so much that you couldn’t even cut through it. Staff were friendly

Malabar Beach Cafe is a wonderful place to have great food, a nice ocean few and live music on Friday nights. The best seafood I have had in and around Malabar. I can also recommend to come for a Café or Chai Late breakfast. They have also almond milk and the foam is always creamy.
