|Lovely welcome at this B and B situated in a quiet residential street just a few minutes from the Urangan pier. Beautiful modern room of a very high standard especially the bathroom area which is open to room. Some may not like this lack of privacy and the toilet area whilst partially screened could have been made more discreet. ||Nicely presented DIY breakfast was enjoyed outside in morning air. Quality did not quite live up to the the room- small changes would make all the difference like ground coffee and a plunger rather than instant, and upmarket yoghurt and juice. Overall recommended strongly

I brought my wife here for a surprise getaway on the weekend and it was beautiful! Laurene was the perfect host and the room had everything we needed.

Speaking of the room (We stayed in the Tara-Jane), it was beautifully designed and extremely clean, certainly every bit as good as the photos.

Another great thing is that Barooga is so close to the waterfront, where there is a range of cafe's and restaurants. Even though you feel the privacy of the B&B, it is only a quick walk to get to almost anything you want.

I hope we have the chance to stay again!

Barooga on Pier is a must stay when visiting Hervery Bay. Amazing room and amazing owners to top it off. They made us feel so welcome, and were more than accomidating. They will be our home away from home on our trips there. ||Very tranquil, private and a great escape from the busy world around us. ||||Our stay was very homely, with a basket of goodies on arrival, champaigne in the fridge and a short walk from the botanical gardens and the beach.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in sleepy Hervey Bay. The welcome from our hosts was warm and informative. The room was wonderful and they had thought of every single detail. The Jacuzzi was welcome after a day of horse riding and whale watching. Just beware that the bathroom and toilet are open to the room, so make sure you know your travelling companion well 😉

Loved our one night stay at Barooga on Pier. Our hosts made us feel very welcome on arrival then left us to our peaceful night off which we appreciated. Slept very well and woke late to enjoy our continental breakfast provided. Great stay and would recommend Barooga on Pier.

We stayed here for one night and found the room very clean and we'll equipped. It was one of two located at the rear of the friendly owners own house and we'll located for the beach. However I wasn't happy with the fact there wasn't a separate bathroom, instead, the bathroom area was part of the bedroom area, affording no privacy. Not great either as we had to have our breakfast in the room with the food left by the hosts.

Fantastic, comfortable, quiet location. Very modern with every thing thought of. Very comfortable bed and great friendly hosts. Highly recommend. Decor is outstanding as is the gardens. Just perfect!|Will return when this way again.|Great eating places within walking distance and wonderful view and area seaside. All amenities catered for.

We spent one night on our way to Elliott Island. Owners were very accommodating. Wine selection in our room, cereal and yoghurt in fridge for breakfast, bread for toast. |Owner recommended fish and chips place and made sure we asked for the reef fish. We ordered the reef fish and chips, no wine or beer available there.|We walked back with our fish and chips to find that there were NO chips. My husband said he would walk back, I said Not after you just drove 5 hours to get to Barooga.|I checked google and this fish and chips place has a lot of negative reviews, owner of B&B should NOT recommend it. |Across the street from the B&B was a huge caravan park.
