Restaurant is divine!
We've always gone there for the absolutely spectacular views over the water - they have to be seen to be believed.
And on our recent visit, we were initially a little taken back by the pricey new menu. But it is WORTH IT! The food is absolutely next level. The pork belly was served under its own smoke dome, the spicy coconut and bean salad that went with it was unusual and wonderful. Still a really decent serving size, but definitely many levels above most restaurants.
Compliments to the chef, and the whole team. Service is always excellent.

PS- the restaurant should have its own google pin so it can be reviewed separately to the overall hotel. 😊

Ultimately I came here to golf and I was deeply satisfied. The courses are super cool with challenging routing and my caddie at Dunes was a gem. The sheer amount of flies on the course were awful, I couldn't hit a single shot without at least a dozen swarming me.

I also really liked my room, it's spacious and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The bed and couch were very comfortable. Free laundry machines were a welcome surprise as well.

Food was mixed overall. My dinners were wonderful (the chocolate tart was to die for) but the breakfast is very basic for the price you pay. The pizza at the sports bar is absolutely terrible with a flagrantly small amount of sauce and cheese. Service at both restaurants were excellent as well.

April 23rd, I was visiting from Canada. Decided to try this so called, “lovely, high-class restaurant” that is Lost Farm. I was very disappointed with what I was given, not only in the food, but also the drinks and poor service. To start off, our drinks came late and confused with others. The food had little to no flavour, and personally the portions were relatively small. As well as, glasses and plates were not to the highest quality of cleanliness.
While I can understand waiters may want to talk to their coworkers I’d suggest doing it in the staff room, kitchen or after hours. As communication may be strong with eachother on topics of personal matter, it was not a strong suit in work as our meals were mixed up/given to other tables, and another waiter came over after we were finished eating, plates cleared and all, asking if we got our meals yet. Hovering over the customers will only piss someone off more, which I could see from the neighbouring tables. The staff not only looked lost, but in comparison to the setting, they were very untidy in appearance.
There was clearly no one competent enough in charge of the waiters and waitresses present. It was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. While Tasmania gave me good memories, this was a very poor/sad/disappointing/slightly disgusted one.

Great golf trip, weather was kind early April.
Room comfortable but needs a quality coffee machine eg. Nespesso, (instant doesn't do it any more!). At least the tv's have been updated.
Restaurant still good but overpriced, special mention of great service from Priscilla from San Paulo Brazil !
Newish pram-wheel golf buggies are not good as they leave your bag too upright and liable to fall over. 2 courses are in great condition.
At Lost Farm, a sign should be put in the accommodation corridor telling guests to be quiet going to their rooms at night, - can be very noisy.

***Lost Farm Restaurant ruined by the new manager***

So disappointed as the location of this resturant is second to none and under different management we’ve previously had wonderful experiences there.

The new manager has taken all our favourite items off the menu, quadrupled the prices of everything on the menu, and the food although well presented, was not enjoyable. Our whole table agreed that we could make each item we ordered taste better at home and for a tenth of the price.

This was somewhere that we often visited and felt welcomed and well fed and was our go-to place when we had friends and family visiting the area. We will now be choosing a new go-to place as the prices were just insulting.

Although the wait and bar staff were lovely, it was clear that they also do not like the new manager.

Going back to the previous menu and prices and manager would improve things overnight.

Just a fabulous place to relax and play golf. We were lucky that the weather was perfect for golf. Golf courses were in top condition.
Bougle Run is a brilliant short 14 hole course. Not to be taken lightly. Lost Farm is very enjoyable with some great holes. Dunes starts of easy but from the 4th hole onwards it is a marvellous experience and presents a tough test.

Great access. Plenty of parking, service very good, everyone was happy to help. Can see quite alot of the course from the walk way. Has a spa and restaurant. Wonderful staff over at the restaurant

Did not stay here but had a delicious meal in the Lost Farm restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was too. Special mention to Victoria whose bubbly personality enhanced our experience. Will definitely be back.
