My husband and I were married at Banksia in September this year. We had the privilege to be the first wedding at the venue. From the moment we enquired, Holly was amazing.
Throughout our planning we felt confident that Holly and the team understood what we wanted and took care to make sure our day was special and stress free. They accommodated so many of our requests and nothing was too much trouble.
Everyone raved about the venue and the food and being catered by The Union Bank, the food was absolutely incredible and there was more than enough for our guests.
On the day Joe took such great care us making sure that everything at the reception ran smoothly and looked fantastic.
The care, consideration and attention to detail provided by the Banksia team made our wedding flawless and we can't recommend them enough

We hosted our two-day company Summit at Banksia, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. We worked with Holly to plan the event, and then with Joe who ensured everything ran smoothly during the event. The food was excellent, and the team was flexible, adjusting their menu to provide grab & go options and adapting their schedule to accommodate our early starts and late finishes. Overall, the staff went above and beyond, making the event a success. We look forward to working with them again!

We held our annual conference at Banksia last weekend. Banksia is a great venue. Attendee’s rated Banksia 5/5. The staff were professional and attentive. Food was so delicious. Not your usual boring conference food. I would definitely recommend Banksia

We booked in for the Mother’s Day high tea and I do feel this experience warranted a review. We had high hopes for the venue and still do hope it finds its feet, but unfortunately as much as I wanted to love this event space, the event was quite unsuccessful. The event was sold out, with a couple hundred in attendance. It was to be a 2pm arrival with food served at 2:30. Unfortunately we did not even get our tea poured until after 2:30, with one hot water kettle in use, we had to constantly wait for it to reboil. The tea selection was underwhelming and to claim your complementary bubbles was a mission with only 2 bar staff and no pre-poured glasses. Once the food came out, each table was served one at a time, meaning we didn’t get fed until closer to 3:30, with the last table being served as we left the event. The venue felt understaffed and despite the new trendy branding, the space felt like it had not been changed since it originally opened in the 90s. The bathrooms were also not stocked with toilet paper and it felt a little underprepared all round. The marketing for the event was very far from the real thing, as I overheard guests saying they were expecting something closer to the ‘French provincial’ imagery used in the advertisement - for future events I feel it may be more appropriate to avoid flashy stock images that are difficult to live up to. I hope this venue can take off, I’d like to see the beautiful space be put to use but it seems there is still a bit to go.

Banksia is an absolutely stunning venue with the most delicious food and outstanding service to match. We hosted an event for 350 people here and it was a huge success. Attendees continue to rave about their experience at Banksia some weeks later and I look forward to hosting future events in this space.

As an event organiser, I can say with certainty that this venue ticks all the boxes for weddings, parties, graduations, corporate training, retreats, luncheons and more.

Your guests will be delighted with the beauty of Banksia both inside and out, the supportive events team and food and beverage options.

Banksia is a very exciting space with a phenomenal team of people behind the events, functions and restaurant that has the capacity to cater from 10-350 guests. Sarah and Dom from the Union Bank have bought all of their culinary, customer service, knowledge of wine and seasonal produce and the food, wine and service is exceptional. I can't wait to spend more nights and time here and highly recommend their popup events for individual dining experiences and their conference and wedding facilities for events!
