Had Banjo’s a couple times so far, and have tried nearly all the pies they offer here. Do not recommend the curried Tasmanian scallop pie (pictured). Compared to their other pies, it was very much below standard. The pie crust itself felt undercooked and was more doughy than flaky. The seafood and fishy taste was overpowering in the pie. The potato top pies are definitely worth a try, loved the cauliflower pie as it was very interesting. We also had a sandwich - the Italian one and it was really good! Loved the sauce that was put in there and it just tasted very refreshing and light.

We tried out Banjo's Bakery today. It is still pretty busy but our wait wasn't too bad at all and the staff seem to be coping well. There is a great variety of options to choose from both in the flavours of pies and other options such as rolls and sandwiches.
We tried the Tassie Scallop Curry Pie, the Double Cheeseburger Pie and the Cape Grim Beef, Bacon & Cheese pie. The flavours of all the pies were really nice. I had the curried scallop pie which was packed full of scallops of all sizes which made for a nice fill consistency but it was a bit tricky to eat as the pastry was a little soft.
We also tried out the donuts which were also really yummy. I'll definitely be back to try the vanilla slice too, it looked amazing. They do a 6/12 buy deal on the donuts.
The decor inside is really pleasant and there is a decent aray of seating arrangements. There is a variety of made to order beverages and coffees.
Definitely excited to have somewhere new in town and love the convenience of a drive through.

Banjo's bakery is a franchise that began in Tasmania. I've been a few times now, so can't be bad, it's a decent bakery fix. However is it the best in Rockhampton? No, in my opinion but I won't name my favourite here as this is a review about Banjos. I think the savoury sausage rolls and pies are Banjo's thing and they do them well. The coffee is average, very similar to a Mc'Cafe coffee, it will get you through till your next coffee break. The sweet baked goods are limited, mostly donuts and depending what time of day you buy them, their freshness varies. I had a blue berry tart today which was a little odd as it was really a custard tart with blue berries on top. I think Banjo's is a perfect drive through bakery, nothing spectacular but it will fill you up and it has the basics.

Grabbed a dozen doughnuts to go today, after lunch. The customer service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere inside the cafe was relaxed and busy. Purchased six Vanilla Custard Doughnuts and six Jam and Cream Doughnuts. Cannot fault these classics, highly recommend!!

First time visiting, for the few parks they had there were none available, so had to go through drive thru. Most items are overpriced so ordered sausage rolls $3.7 each, assuming they were full size for that price, but they were 2bites max, photo attached. Won’t be returning, overhyped business.

Tried the new bakeshop in town and it did not disappoint! Love their pies and donuts. It was seriously so good with just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. The crew is very nice and friendly. It was totally worth lining up for!! Definitely my new favorite brunch place. 🩷

Great Bakery, just the parking situation let's it down unfortunately 😕
You take your life in your hands & the welfare of your car, just trying to reverse out of one of few parking spots located in front of the bakery, by the patrons from next door at Gomez & Gomez speeding through to their destination 🫤
I then prefer to use the drive through, which is good & bad as then you do yourself a disservice from not being able to go inside the bakery to view all of their products, therefore you miss out on those.
Other than the parking failure, great bakery, with great, fresh products.
