Ordered a few items takeaway as I’ve heard about their surcharges for dining in (unfortunate but also it was packed in there, didn’t seem pleasant to sit inside because of the crowds).

Really good pastries. Had the caramel tart ($4.9 for a lil baby tart wow), the cherry strudel, and the Portuguese tart. Definitely enjoyed them all despite the high price point.

Staff were friendly and very nice despite all the chaos and queues.

Been coming here since I was a child and absolutely love the meat pies but you have to get in early before the good ones run out. Took my dad for Father’s Day and ate them at a lookout. Meat pies are definitely worth what you pay. The sweets are a little pricey though, I paid $12 for one little Mascarpone tart and it was good but I didn’t think it was amazing. Would definitely recommend people to try for themselves.

?!Expensive (Greedily over priced) and no special or good taste. It’s cost A$10.40 for a piece of coconut macaron and A$7.40 for a Horse Roll. It’s surprised us when we were asked to settle the bill first dinning and with extra charge for dinning in. It’s much cheaper for take away. How greedy! Looks like their staff are not motivated, they serve with no smile but with grumpy faces. Seems like they hate working there. A horrible place to drop by after a wonderful experience at blue mountain. Highly not recommended.

I always stop in here if I’m in the area. The prices are a little steep, but I love everything I’ve ever tried here. I think it’s worth the cost.
If you’re there on the weekend, be prepared, it gets very BUSY (line out the door busy).
The pies are great, as are the danishes. Everything is good!
I’ve seen a few reviews about service, all I can say is the team have been friendly & kind every time I’ve been in.
I’d highly recommend getting takeaway and stopping in at Wentworth Falls Picnic Area - it’s a 5 minute drive away at most. Beautiful pastry with a beautiful view, doesn’t get any better!! Note, this photo is at Wentworth Falls Picnic area - not the cafe!

Traditional German baker - came here already over 20 years ago. German bread, pastries and cakes but quite pricy.
The best suggestion for a special treat is the Poppy Seed Danish Pastry just short of $9
A Pretzel (Brezel) $5.90 is just too much for me…
I add some updated photos

I definitely have my favourite pie and love it more than any pie in the world (atleast for now and I am gatekeeping it). This keeps me from coming back, but the customer service needs to be changed. It felt everytime we are here the staff were either not listening or felt like we should be in a hurry. Probably cheer up or smile. It goes a long way.

Pre-ordered their apple strudel, as advised by this nice lady on Sunday as they were sold out, to take home and oh my goodness it was delicious! We had lunch there on Friday, when we picked up the strudel, and the place had a steady stream of customers. The staff handled the flow really well. We had a potato and beef pie with salad and it hit the spot. Oh and their Bretzels are a must try! Can't wait to return!

Came on long King's birthday long weekend.

Thought it was a good idea to dine in as everywhere else was full. Little did we know that 3.5 dollars is added to EVERY meal that is purchased as dine in. What this translates to unjustifiable markups. Our order of plain beef pie had a 59% markup. And what does one get for that markup? A plate, cutlery and a small amount of greens. For the tart we got, which also had the 3.5 dollar tacked on, we got a plate and a small amount of cream. When asked for clarification, we were told that the 3.5 dollar markup is on the menu. Looking at photos of the menu, it sure as hell isn't. Or at least not as how the receipt describes the ectra. This is completely unacceptable

The food also needs labelling. Most of their pastries and quite a number of their cakes are unlabelled. Considering how busy they get, it makes no sense to slow things down with people who need clarification of the dishes.

Taste-wise, as a German, it's OK. The pies are average.

It gets very busy, so expect lines.

TLDR: Come here for take away.
