This charming cafe offers a lovely riverside setting, perfect for a relaxed brunch. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by a few issues. The place was bustling, and finding a clean table was a challenge. Birds were also a nuisance, scavenging for leftovers.
The food was delicious, but on the pricier side. A simple fried egg with pan residue on it cost a surprising $4.40, and the 10% weekend surcharge added to the bill.
While the atmosphere is delightful, the service seemed stretched thin with only two staff members handling the busy crowd over the spacious venue. Clearing tables and attending to customers promptly could be improved.
Overall, the cafe's potential is undeniable, but it could benefit from additional staff and more attentive service.

The only thing good about the experience here was the atmosphere. There was a black Swan in the water that was giving us more attention than the staff. Imagine waiting over an hour for meal fulfilment after ordering thru a QR code, and after being told half hour later one of the initial orders had sold out. It wasn't like the place was sold out, there were many empty tables. When the replacement order finally came it was overly salty, and only hunger had me eating the few bites of it I did. Won't be coming back sadly, as there wasn't even an apology for the delay, it took two visits for me to the inside from my table to make my concerns known for anyone to pay attention to me or my 5 person table. Sorry to be so harsh but really, in a time when everyone not just restaurants are struggling and my family and friends still try to support local ones wherever we vacation, this felt like a wasted one.

Delicious coffee and even better pastries. Those double baked almond croissants got me feeling some kinda way! Not to mention the pain au chocolat - buttery, flakey goodness that comes twice the size of a normal one!

Sitting out by the water on a sunny day - can’t beat it in all honesty! To top it all off the staff were friendly and attentive

Had a lovely brunch here for my partners fathers birthday. I got the Zucchini and Chickpea Pakoras which were simply devine! I also recommend the sweet potato roll, so delicious and gluten free! The coffee is excellent, the vibes are great. Dog friendly too and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We love coming here and will be back again as there is something for everyone.

We took our whole family, including our 1-year-old nephew, to Baked at Ancora, and it was a wonderful experience! They were so accommodating with options for our nephew's dietary needs, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was top-notch. The staff were so friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family outing even during the busy holiday period. Highly recommend this spot for great food and excellent service!

We are locals and have lived in the area for 12 years, but we finally went to Ancora this weekend. It's a pretty spot with nice coffee and delicious food. I think my trawl roll was the best breakfast I've had in a while (we go out for breakfast every weekend). My 4-year-old also loved the croissants and ate all of them, which is a very rare occasion for my little picky eater ?.

The downside was that the cafe was very busy, had very little parking space, and the service took almost 40 minutes on Sunday from 10-11 am.

Nevertheless, the food is really delicious at a reasonable price, so we thought we will come back! ?

The menu looks great. Ordering through the app is fine but I am disinclined to tip before eating or getting any service. I went for the chicken waffles but the batter was so hard in some parts I couldn't get a fork in. Waffles were great but would have liked some more maple syrup. The half eggs Benny was excellent and the option of half serve is great. Breakfast salad was also nice. Will try again soon hopefully.

Stopped for Breakfast on Sunday. And had to return the next day it was so good.

Perfect location to sit outside under the shade of a beautiful tree and enjoy the breeze by the water.

Meals were great, even have half serve options available for a smaller size.
