Well, a better exhibition you’d struggle to find anywhere, this is absolutely fantastic with history from pre settlement on to early white settlers, lots to read, listen to watch, give yourself at least 3 hours

Great sculptures and the surrounding area is fantastic. Well designed. The story of Henry Lawson was really well done.

A great time was had talking to the staff member at the visitor’s centre. She had a wealth of local knowledge and an amazing personality. The museum is a bonus to learn some local knowledge, which needs to be paid for. You must purchase one, two or three pairs of the ‘BACK O’ BOURKE’ towels. Sometimes it’s a risk to purchase quality looking souvenirs however these towels are of a very high quality and well worth every dollar. Now that we know how good they are (soft, comforting and absorbent), we should have bought three pairs. Apart from that there is a wealth of knowledge to be found at the Bourke visitors centre. Make it your first stop before traversing the local or greater area.

Very helpful and knowledgeable ladies manning the Info center, they gave me plenty of ideas of local attractions to see activities to do.
There’s a presentation you can enjoy, which costs, and a pleasant walk around the building with info boards and statues.
The toilets are clean, there’s water for the RV and a dump site.

There’s a wealth of knowledge available here about the local area and things to see and do! The Cafe was closed for renovations, so get your coffee, etc elsewhere…. The Exhibition Centre was excellent and worth the entry ticket - so much of Australia’s history has a connection to Bourke!

Unfortunately called in after diverting off route. Place was expensive. Can't say i would recommend a visit at current prices. Souvenirs were very expensive
