Derita is the best therapist I have ever had. She does the most amazing Balinese massage, better than Bali!
Then you can also enjoy the rest of the day in the W’s mineral pools, steam room and Wet Deck pool.

My sister and I had a 90 minute treatment when visiting Brisbane. Staff were all lovely and made us feel comfortable and at home. The facilities are clean and luxurious. Highly recommend.

Absolutely luxurious!! I was gifted a voucher for this spa and was delighted by my experience, amazing service! The massage and facial were relaxing and refreshing. I was left feeling without want. Then to be offered tea or champagne after, awesome! Then the included free valet and use of the mineral pools, sauna and the main hotel pool was the cherries on top! Access the whole day of the services, amazing! I will definitely be coming back for further pampering in future 🙂

My son gifted me a massage at Away spa on 31/12 at 12.15 noon . I felt welcome from the moment I step into the spa . There was the usual forms to fill and the staff made me feel like I am a regular customer . I had the best experience with Derita . Her techniques were meticulous and skilled . I would definitely go back again .

I came here for a pregnancy massage and had a few issues.

Firstly they had to cancel my booking at short notice (2hrs in advance) due to staff being sick, but they only notified me the morning of my appointment. I'm surprised they didn't have another staff member that could do the appointment - seems like a lack of a back up plan, and I had already planned that day off work so I was quite disappointed with their lack of care. They also didn't offer me an alternate appointment time or help me find something similar. I should've taken this as a warning sign to be honest.

Second, when I arrived for my re-booked appointment early (30mins prior to actual appointment), there was no one at the front desk/reception to greet me. I was left waiting there for over 10 mins until I decided to sit down close by. Even the other guests in the waiting area told me "I'm sure they'll be back to see you soon" when they realised how long I've been there. I arrived early because I wanted to take advantage of their hot pools in the communal dressing/change area as they tell you you could. But having to wait over 20mins to be shown where to go at the front desk meant that there was hardly any time left for me to enjoy their facilities. There was no acknowledgement of their lateness to greet me, or their lack of customer service from the start. They also came to retrieve me from the change area 5 mins after, and then also end up cutting my appointment 15mins shorter in total. Appalling service. It seemed like they don't take responsibility for their stuff ups.

The massage and treatment overall was okay - nothing spectacular. I was very disappointed in their service as I had high expectations due to the spa being part of the W hotel, but I wouldn't recommend.

I have experienced spas, massages and treatments in many hotels around the world and some of them go above and beyond which is such a lovely gesture when you are a customer paying for their service. But here at AWAY Spa, there is little value for money, I feel they don't take pride in what they do and they don't keep to time - especially if they are the ones behind on time, then you'll actually never get that time reimbursed through treatment time or otherwise. I would not go back and will not recommend any friends to go if they wanted to experience 5*service.

Honestly blown away not only by the great value of being able to utilise all the spa facilities all day. I stay at the W often but my first time to the spa..loved it. The staff were fantastic very hospitable. The atmosphere amazing. I booked last minute and could only get a 60minute massage was amazing Ladia (excuse my spelling) well exceeded my expectations. Very grateful & have already rebooked longer treatments.

Away is the best day spa I have been to, and I work in the beauty industry. Such great value for money when you consider treatment inclusions, and every therapist I have had is extremely skilled, kind and professional. I will be returning many more times.
