Lovely old place with history. Across from a park and on a one-way street, so is quiet.
Not too far a walk (~ 500m) from shops, plaza and cafes and restaurants. No breakfast is available at the venue, but a cafe 300m away has a daily breakfast menu.
Approx 20- 25 min Uber ride from the airport ( obviously depends on the traffic conditions on the day! We had a really good run!)
Our room was up an old staircase, with a bathroom you could have a party in!! It was huge! And it had a bath! The bedroom was huge with a king-size bed. The bed was comfortable, and there were 6 pillows to choose from along with extra blankets. Plantation shutters on windows were lovely, and the windows could be opened ( this fact is so important for those of us that need fresh air and not recirculated air!!!), tea/instant coffee making facilities, and a 2 seater couch that was comfortable! We loved our 2 night stay here. George, the manager, was super helpful.

Stayed on 2 separate dates during the month of Sept, a 3 night and a 5 night stay. Historical building, spacious rooms, old worldly with character. Well equipped. Staff were superb. Great chat with Kevin about family back in Ireland. Great location, being adjacent to Randwick and all its shops and restaurants. Transport nearby with regular bus service to Coogee Beach and Bondi Junction shopping centre and a Light Rail system to the city in 20 mins. Lovely park outside the hotel. Highly recommend this place and great value for money. Service excellent.

Look the rooms are not some sort of top 10 location thing, but the service I received here was absolutely fantastic. Kevin was my host, and he was awesome, he looked after me and gave me respect. I highly recommend staying here, I don’t normally do reviews, but Kevin was a notable manager, he is a professional and he will look after you! Thank you Kevin 🙂

Good value for money hotel. had nice large room and bathroom with air conditioning,comfortable and peaceful despite being near the town opposite a park. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and can take the light railway or bus into the city. Maid cleaned room every day.

What a beautiful building in a quiet, location, convenient to the tram to City Center (and buses to Coogie!) After a day you will feel like a local. Three blocks to groceries and coffee and Lebanese food across the street. The Avonmore team were helpful, accommodating of my needs, and made me feel very welcome over the week I was there.

The hotel is situated across the road from a quiet park and within a short walk of restaurants, public transport etc. Ideal for anyone not having a car. |The manger and staff were kind and caring, changing our upstairs room to ground level to accommodate a mobility issue. Absolutely beautiful, they were very accommodating and nice. The room and the atmosphere is beautiful. Great price for how nice it is. The location is near lots of food places and public transportation. I am very happy with our stay here and would come again in a heart beat.
