The room was good, comfortable bed good sized bathroom, but very dusty in places and window surrounds very grubby.
Service non-existent. Rooms serviced every second day.
Never anyone at reception. Common areas very grimy. Communal kitchen smelt terrible, the odor permeated the whole building.
Crockery chipped. Dirty teatowel and washing up cloth never changed for weeks by the looks of them.
Terrible experience and the price was not cheap. Just under $1,000 for five nights.

The Prince Of Wales Hospital needs to remove this "hotel" from their list of recommended accommodation. |The only thing in its favour is the close proximity to the hospital.|On arrival, we walked down a set of steps covered with large,wet slippery leaves which were still there when we left three days later. (I had to kick them to the side to make it safe to walk on).|The entrance is at the side of the building,which is unusual and when we found the tiny reception area hidden away up a corridor between rooms, it was unattended and I had to ring the number displayed on the window to bring a person to the office to check us in. This was around 2pm.|There was an awful smell coming from the tiny communal kitchen/laundry and this permeated throughout the entire building.|Our room was on the first floor and as we climbed the stairs I noticed that the walls were scuffed and marked and the white handrail was absolutely filthy as were the treads on the stairs and the carpet could be doing with a good clean.|The room looked fairly good at first glance and was a good size, as was the bathroom, but on closer inspection the place was dusty and the table surface needed a good scrub and the window surround was very grimy.|We were surprised when returning to our room late afternoon that it had not been serviced. I had to ring the number on the office window to talk to someone about this and was informed that the rooms are serviced every second day. We had not been informed about this.|There were piles of fresh bath towels on a cabinet in the hallway of each floor, but no bath mats or hand towels.|The communal kitchen was disgusting. The sink was not clean and had scraps of food in it and no washing up liquid available. The same dirty tea towel and washing up cloth were draped beside the sink for the duration of our stay.|We had been charged just under $1,000 for a five night stay.|I was due to have open heart surgery at the hospital on the second day of our stay but this was postponed until the beginning of the following week.|We requested that the two days remaining be changed to coincide with my new surgery dates, but this was denied, as was a request for refund.|This is without a doubt the worst accommodation I have experienced anywhere in the world and I have travelled extensively both in Australia and elsewhere.|I will add photographs as proof that I am not exaggerating.

A trip for work to Sydney Children's Hospital. It was a great stay, just opposite of the hospital.
Very easy after hour access. Very clean. And no keys to lose as you get codes. Loved it!

Rooms - clean and comfortable although a little tired.
Service - minimal interaction however pleasant and accommodating.
Location - perfect for our needs due to easy access to hospital, light rail and eateries.

SMOKING
Venue chosen as website speciifically notes property and rooms 'all smoke-free in accordance with NSW Legislation'. This was definitely not our experience. Bench seats located under windows of ground floor rooms encouraged frequent smokers, who's mobile phone use and cigarette smoke inundated our room at all hours (with or without windows open).

Reception kindly relocated us to a different room although the issue persisted both inside and out of the building.

Good location especially if you're having surgery at the hospital close by. Tiny room but did the job for a 2 night stay. Note the reception was not attended on checkout so I didn't know where to leave my bags as I wanted to leave them at reception as I went to find some breakfast. Good price for Sydney

Had terrible experience, noisy place not because of the people in there but because thin walls ceilings, also the person working there barged into my room when I was half practically naked to change the tv remote that was working fine . He started looking around for it and checking out my private stuff . Embarrassed

Our experience at Avoca Randwick in Sydney exceeded expectations! The accommodation was flawless—clean, aesthetic, and equipped with everything essential for our trip. With a convenient mini-fridge for snacks and proximity to charming cafes and shops, our needs were effortlessly met. The exceptionally comfortable bed made our stay even more delightful. The accessibility to public transport and the kindness of the Randwick Sydney Lodges staff truly crowned our fantastic experience.

I spent a night in this hotel and had a really bad experience.
The room was in the first floor close to the entrance and I could here everything from outside and from the other rooms.
I woke up all night when guests were entering in the hotel because of the noise. Also I could hear the people in the others rooms, especially the one upstairs as the walls are so thin. I could hear the shower and toilets from the room upstairs.
I really do not recommend this place at all. Especially for the price that is not worth it.
