Stayed for 2 nights in a garden view room . The room was fine. It was spacious and clean. Beds comfy with modern crisp white linen. The room has big windows and a door which opens out onto a sitting area with lots of greenery so didn’t feel enclosed in at all. We ate at the Saltwater bistro attached to the hotel both nights and meals, drinks, service was really good. Lots of parking available too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Sadly we didn’t have a great stay or sleep. We were in the 2 bed terrace and could hear entire conversations of those next to us as well as loud banging as they went up and down the stairs. Furniture was really poor including an uncomfortable bed, small couch, cheap plastic chairs for the balcony. The front door I could barely open myself. Tried to call to see if there were other rooms and nobody at reception. Positive is the restaurant was nice!

Just wanted to express our gratitude to the bar manager after our visit on Saturday afternoon. Whilst we were there, nothing was too much trouble. Great bar service and extremely accommodating. Was the perfect location for a few mates to have a have a few drinks and games of pool without any issues. Conveniently located bottle shop, and although not the largest range, had all that was needed. To top it all off, they coordinated a trip back into Avoca on their bus. We will be back! Thank you…

Stayed a night whilst attending a live show in town. Room was spotless. Nice view from balcony. Staff were very pleasant.Both dinner at the hotel and breakfast at the cafe were enjoyable. Property is extensive and has a pool and tennis courts for the active. An enjoyable stay!

Recently stayed two nights to attend a family function in the area. We stayed in a balcony room which was centrally located to reception, Tree tops cafe and the hotel bar mad bistro. Rooms have been renovated and are large and comfortable. Breakfast in Tree tops was excellent and we enjoyed two dinners in the hotel bistro. Quality of food was very good. Location is very hilly and we had my 90 year old parents with us. Whilst there are ramps there is still a lot of up and down, which was a bit of a challenge. Many thanks to management who allowed us a late check out after my wife became ill and the rest of our party had a brunch to attend. The extra two hours was very helpful. Would happily stay at the Avoca Hotel & Resort again.

The manager is so lovely and accommodating! 10/10 would stay here a million times over. We stayed during winter, and the view was just incredible. I would recommend visiting in winter; the rainforest serenity and the energy of this place are so homey and relaxing. There were kookaburras right at our porch in the mornings, so close we got to pat them! The kids absolutely loved it.

Lovely secluded hotel, room was surprisingly very spacious. Comfortable beds and pillows. Shower head in bathroom doesn’t move and is facing the wall so very difficult to have an enjoyable shower. There was a spider in our shower and ants on the ground near the toilet when we arrived. We dont mind we didn’t kill them we let them be. Good that there is a TV in the room but would be better if there was chrome cast or something attatched so we could connect our devices to watch what we want. Made a request prior to booking to put the air con on cool before arrival, when we got to the room it was on heat so the room was quite hot. Signing in was fine, seems understaffed. Just the one person running reception and the phones were ringing like crazy and he was taking bookings over the phone while trying to serve us. Lovely man though and showed us a map on where we are staying etc.

Salt water bar and bistro very close to the room which was good. Food was lovely, but so expensive for a pub meal.

It's a little bit remote, but quiet.
Room is clean, Close to town like Gosford, beaches and places for visitors. Rate is reasonable.
