Friendly service. We were greeted in and shown a table. We got the dinner and movie deal. Decent food portions. Steak was a bit tough. Chips and sauce were lovely. Pudding was nice. Price is decent. Very busy place, so quite loud but there is ample seating even for walk ins. Was night time so can't say much for the views.

Quite a surprise with the excellent fit out and gardens that surround
Bright the whole tribe down; 3, 2 & 1 year old as well as my wife
We all ate and rolled out with our bellies full
Food from 5pm was a very helpful thing for our little family
Enjoyed the special pumpkin soup, the fish and chips was a knock out especially with the Monday special
Pizza and onion rings were great with their texture and presentation.
Only thing was the atmosphere wasn’t there, mind you it was a Monday and I had kids so not too much to compare.

Gardens host functions like weddings and similar celebrations which would be lovely to attend.

Very unfortunately my dining experience was greatly coloured by my interaction with the waitress taking my dinner order and this is not my first experience. Her attitude was curt to the point of rudeness, that as a potential diner I was a nuisance, no smile, no courtesy, no patience just abruptness and sourness. Very very off putting from the waitress with plaited long red hair and sorry really spoilt what could have been a lovely evening and won’t be returning if she is behind the counter

Gosh what a lovely little experience. Beautiful gardens please go for a walk if you visit. We came for a comedy show in the very fancy function room but stopped for dinner first at the inn which was beautiful. A great night out thank you 😊

Rude Management and Unwelcoming Atmosphere – Avoid The Auchendarroch House!
I have been a regular patron of The Auchendarroch House for some time, but after the appalling treatment my friends and I received recently, I will never set foot in this establishment again. What was supposed to be a pleasant afternoon with friends turned into a nightmare thanks to the shocking behavior of their so-called "manager," Annie.
We decided to enjoy a picnic in the park adjacent to the pub, as we have done many times before. We had our own food and drinks. Moments after setting up, Annie came storming over like a whirlwind of hostility. Without so much as a polite greeting, she rudely demanded that we pack up and leave immediately.
When we politely explained that there were no signs indicating picnics were prohibited and asked if we could at least stay if we put our drinks away, she flatly refused. Her tone was condescending, and her attitude was nothing short of disgraceful. We asked to speak to a superior, only to be told that she was the manager on duty. How someone with such poor customer service skills could be in a position of authority is beyond me.
Annie's behavior was unprofessional, unwelcoming, and completely unnecessary. Instead of fostering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, she chose to alienate loyal customers over a trivial matter. There was no attempt to find a compromise or handle the situation with even a shred of courtesy.
The Auchendarroch House has lost not only my business but also the business of my entire group of friends. If this is how they treat regular patrons, I can only imagine how they treat newcomers. Save yourself the trouble and find a pub that actually values its customers.
Zero stars for the terrible management and lack of basic hospitality.

This is the best staff I've ever had. 29th of March 2025. They go out of their way for customers. They welcome you and thank you and farewell you. Haven't seen this sort staff for a long time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or go back. Young staff too. Well done guys
