Clean motel close to hospital, Clifford Gardens and Grand Central. Bar and Restaurant were both closed over Christmas so we can not comment on those. Pool was small but clean, sauna likewise. We chose the studio room that looked much larger in the photos. Room was very compact bit quite well appointed, pillows were too flat and the bed was too hard. There was no carpet, which was great, undercover parking was also great.

Exceeded expectations.|I was looking for a reasonably priced motel that my brother and I could stay at on our regular visits to our parents in Toowoomba. As a trial, I booked Athena as it was a great price and close to our parents.|The 2 bed apartments were spacious, spotless, and offered so much. Free Unlimited WiFi and Netflix (which I didn't use as I had my own account, but it was nice to know it was available)|Xmas didn't allow for the usual opening hours, but the available services of a bar/plunge pool/restaurant/BBQ area etc etc, make me look forward to my next visit.|I hope, but expect that the motel rooms/1 bed rooms will be equally as good as the 2 bed suites, and I look forward to staying at Athena several times in 2025.

Very good a lot nicer and big rooms when I and my support worker stayed there we were in Apartment 25 which is offset with own private patio area. Rooms have spas in them. Thistle place also has bbq area, gym, restaurant and bar which is open 6.00pm to 8.00pm Monday to Thursday nice and clean

Bed and pillows super comfy, fantastic shower pressure, room lovely and clean. We had a back studio unit and although the motel is on a very busy road we were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, lots of birdsong from Dean's Bush which the unit overlooked. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this motel for 2 nights, on the first night it was okay, second night worse while I appreciate the dishwasher when I opened it to do the dishes because you “have to put your dishes in the dishwasher or a additional fee will be added” which frankly is ridiculous I can’t use the tap and put the dishes back myself but it’s fine. When I opened the dishwasher there was an alive cockroach in it I’m not saying this to be funny or anything I screamed so loud I woke my sister up who was staying in the next room over but it’s fine you know one time it alright, no a while later my nonna had to use the bathroom and she’s 80 you know what she saw when she looked in the bathroom sink a green cicada alive I have no idea how that got in there but she almost had a heart attack seeing that. Fyi we got the cicada out. Also not to mention the 5 or 6 moths that we had to kill and this is just over the course of 2 days. Next the service.. what service the restaurant was closed both days the entirety of our stay, the laundry closes at 5:30 and if you don’t get your clothes out by then they lock them in the laundry, for laundry pods you have to go to reception and buy them but don’t forget reception closes at 3 I think or 4:30 I can’t remember rn. The entire time I was at the motel I didn’t see one worker which is shocking to me. I do appreciate the kitchen so I was able to make food and the room did look nice too.

Last minute booking ? great customer service ? Room was fresh and clean with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits ☕️? Mum lives next door everyone great with us coming and going kids swimming and making noise ? super greatfull for our stay and will be back again ?
