A Fantastic Fine Dining Experience at The Astor Inn

We had an amazing meal at The Astor Inn! The whole dining experience felt refined and classy. We started with four different entrées, each cooked to perfection and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavours.

Our mains, the two steaks were absolutely incredible – tender, juicy, and seasoned amazingly. The gnocchi was full of flavour and super fresh! Every dish felt refined and thoughtfully prepared.

To top it off, the $15 happy hour cocktails were crafted to perfection.

The atmosphere was classy and relaxed, with excellent service that made us feel right at home. Whether you’re looking for a special night out or just want to enjoy amazing food, The Astor is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Well, this place took us by surprise. We did our due diligence before attending (checked it served steak and red wine 😉) but did this place bring the goods 100%.
Staff were brilliant and created a fun and welcoming environment. They know their food, the wine and the people they meet.
Kudos to the very cool, very genuine boss and her staff.
First time visitors to Wagga and first time at Astor. So grateful we were drawn here and cannot sing their praises enough. Quick bite to eat, couple of delicious beverages, some real conversations and we were treated like part of the family.
Well done Astor... and massive shout out to the chef for a very delicious mouthwatering scotch fillet.
I'm not one to take food photos so please appreciate the genuine photography here lol. They don't do it justice!

Place is easy to find. Indoor seating only. They have lots of parking. Booking is easy.

Menu is large and both upscale and pub food at the same time. The prices are really good and reasonable.

We ordered 4 drinks, the brushetta, the aranchini, the scotch, the chicken salad, tiramisu and the affogatto.

The food was hit and miss, brushetta was awful because the bread was burnt and soggy at the same time.

The aranchini was delicious, steak was burnt and chewy. The chicken salad was delicious but the olives weren't pitted and we're incredibly salty.

The dessert was delicious and so were the drinks. Service was consistent and friendly. They also have a bar and pokies.

Paid $90 for two steaks and they absoluetly cremated them! The medium was well done, and the medium rare...was also well done!! We asked for free deserts as we didn't have time to send them back, but they only gave us one. Seriously would not recommend if you don't like your steak the only way they cook it - well done! The sides were pretty nice though...maybe because we were hungry 🙂

Been three times now since moving to Wagga Wagga. Each and every time we've had the same lady looking after my husband and myself.
Every time has been a very pleasant experience nothing is ever a bother, and weather you are the only people in the restaurant or its full, you are made to feel like you are the only one's there.
All staff are very polite.
The Astor also is the best steak in town. I tell everyone they should go there for a meal, they won't be disappointed.

Sensational meal, wonderful staff, phenomenal cocktails. I’ve driven past this place about a million times and finally decided to take the punt, and boy howdy are we glad we did! Had an absolutely wonderful time and will gladly be coming back again. Google only allows 5 stars but I would argue a 20/10 is sufficient.

This is the very first time I have been to Thomasina's. The main thing that has stuck with me was the service, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, the table service is a great detail that I appreciate. The food was very satisfying, the charcoal BBQ grill was tasty. And the side vegetables where done really well. A solid meal of meat and veggies done with love. I will be returning to eat here again in the future.
