Just spent a few days working in Weipa and stayed at Ash Palms, couldn't recommend them highly enough. Kellie was a fantastic host, super friendly and went out of her way to check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Entirely self contained and just across the road from the local shops in a very quiet location, we wont be staying anywhere else in the future!

Very clean and spacious apartments. There was everything you required for a short stay or a long stay. Central to Weipa's supermarket and other local stores. We had a family of five and the space was welcomed in the unit. The owner were extremely accommodating and allowed an extra long check out time to accommodate our late flight out of Weipa. This was fabulous as the kids could have a swim in the pool and shower before the flight home. Recommendations- Small satchels of washing powder for the washing machine. and another sofa so all the family could sit down to watch a movie. Otherwise it was a great stay and would stay here again.

We booked the Ash Palms Motel on our way north. We were pleasantly surprised with our unit. A lovely spacious multi-level unit. Our Host Marco & Nerida were very helpful. The room was lovely and clean, wide parking area, and close to shops and the coast.

Arrived into town late on a Sunday afternoon and i was completely unprepared as to where I was staying for the night. ||I visited a couple of other options first and wasn't at all impressed by welcoming response I received. As a female travelling the outback dirt roads on my own, a smile goes a long way!||Charlotte at Ash Palms was amazing, took me under her wing from the get go. Offering to organise a fishing charter for me, dinner options, as well as offering me a bed on the floor at her place for the following night if I wanted it (ash palms was fully booked for the next night if I planned on staying). I spent the next day fishing and stayed an extra night but only because they had a cancellation.||The room was well worth it and had everything needed. Was a cute set up too with the loft style bedrooms. Very clean and comfortable. I doubt you would do better in weiper to be honest but thats just my opinion.|

We walked into our hotel room to find it was almost a house! Having been greeted by the really friendly owner, we parked under cover and walked over to our room. Inside we found a large lounge/dining area, a kitchen and a bathroom. In the middle of the room was a spiral staircase which led to a mezzanine with two single beds in one "room" and this was separated from the double room by a large wardrobe wall. Aircon and fans completed the room. The hotel also supplies a barbecue, laundry facilities, a pool and a lovely tropical garden between the two sides of the hotel. Walk to everywhere. Shops are just over the green verge and all you need is there.||We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Weipa and at Ash Palms.

Sherilee was THE most wonderful host, going out of her way to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was great with all that you need, including washing machine and dryer. Highly recommended.

I travel to Weipa regularly for work and used to stay at the Albatross. I will definitely request Ash Palms in future.||||Large, if somewhat unconventional, unit. Full kitchen. Full FoxTel channels. Double and 2x single beds in a semi-separated mezzanine bedroom, accessed by a spiral staircase in the centre of the unit! Spacious bathroom.||Across the road from the supermarket (and all the shops in Weipa).||Very helpful owner/operators.

This place really felt like a home away from home. Often when I travel for work, I find I’m always missing something, an iron or a microwave or a washing machine or a cook top, but this place had all these things and more. Very clean, smelled fresh as a daisy and the lady who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming. I was only in for the one night but could comfortably spend the week. 10 outa 10
