One would never miss this place as you could literally follow the wharf of pastry smell to the cafe. As the name suggests, the pastries in here are freshly baked, and some of the choices would blow your mind.
We were like kids in the playground wanting to buy everything.
Do not miss their sourdough bread loaf and the almond croissants. The choco au pain was amazing as well.
The young girl behind the counter was very patient and friendly.
If you are in Wagga Wagga, do not miss this cafe.

22nd Nov 23.
Went in to get some cakes and coffee.
No greetings at all but the young lady awkwardly stared at me.
Bought 5 pieces of cakes and a coffee but no smile or anything. She looked like an angry doll.
Cakes and coffee were okay.

Very disappointed with Artisan Baker. The bread is amazing but the experience very tainted by a rude staff member. I witnessed a young mother with 2 children attempt to purchase some croissants. Being Christmas, there was a 2 unit limit per customer. The mum asked, practically begged, to be able to buy a couple more. The answer- NO. Another customer asked if her children counted. The answer - NO. I understand limits, but 2 per person? And at what age does a child count as a person? Perhaps reconsider your policy in these situations so as to not alienate your customers. I can think of several alternatives to manage the croissant scarcity situation. Actually not scarce- saw trays of them behind the counter. My two croissants came from these trays as did the purchase by subsequent customers, so no, they weren't all reserved for orders. I think the manner in which the limit was being enforced could have been shared in a far friendlier manner than that observed.
Kudos to another customer who gave up one of her two highly sought after croissants to the young mother who was incredibly grateful. Spreading Christmas cheer!

The Artisan Baker - So French, So Fresh does a decent peach Danish ($5) and a credible pork, bacon and fennel sausage roll ($5). Flying the red, white & blue French flag, you’ll find them a few blocks off Wagga Wagga’s main drag on Morgan Street. While there’s no seating, there is plenty of off-street parking so you can eat in the car and pick up household staples, like sourdough bread, while you’re there.

food is amazing, no complaints in this category.
i would like to take this time to instead talk about the incredibly rude young blonde haired lady. how she still works at this store is beyond me, everybody i know that has eaten from here has mentioned how rude, unwelcoming, dismissive and overall snobby she is, actively turning away business. this sentiment is not held by me and me only, in fact, this is also proven by other reviews.
i want to continue supporting this amazing bakery but unfortunately its not worth the unpleasant atmosphere and service. it is really not that difficult to be friendly.
