Travelling with two other women, we stayed in a fabulous 3 bedroom apartment with views over the river and beyond. Very clean apartment, two bathrooms, spacious, full kitchen, dining and lounge area and stunning views out of every window. I highly recommend. Would suit families as perfectly positioned across the road from the parks and river. Lots of cafes, shops, etc to choose from just downstairs too.

We were warmly welcomed and found the 1 bedroom apartment (no.18 - decor functional) clean, well maintained and comfortable for our 2 night stay. Location very handy to restaurants, shops, beach, pools etc + good view and secure underground parking as well. We would return.

I have visited friends who stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the location is perfect. My adult children were camping across the road, so easy access to them. I found the room far from clean, dirty carpet, mould in the bathroom, the microwave was just unusable it was so dirty. The kettle was even dark brown on the bottom. The kitchen itself was modern and clean enough, but the management of the complex were less than helpful. I emailed several times, and then was told my last email stating these things was agressive. It wasn't, it was just ignored. I tried calling, no answer. I didn't know to call the mobile number, as the entire time there the office was locked up. I found the managers to be aggressive when I finally did talk to them, raising her voice at me and talking over me. I paid for a pool room and got a room which is not depicted in any photos at all on the website at all. They told me i could've got a worse room. I did have a great view. I didn't even realise they took the money from my account which overdrew it, as I assumed I would see someone at the front desk to check in and I was going to pay by a different account. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will I return. A kettle is $7 at Kmart. There is no excuse for this facility to have such grubby, dirty appliances. The towels were beautiful and soft though. I was just so disappointed in my stay there as it may not be a lot of money to some people, but it was to me. I have never left a bad review ever before and its a shame I've had to here. I've just never encountered such rude and unhelpful managers of a complex like this. They did offer to clean the carpet while I was in there, but I did say no as it would have been more of a disruption than moving rooms. As I was leaving another couple were leaving from the same level and we shared the lift and they said they'd never be back either given the treatment and lack of cleanliness. They at least got moved, it must help to have a man to be with you and not just a woman on her own who could be spoken to and bullied in the manner that I was. I'm really sorry I have to leave such negative feedback, but I feel embarrassed that those from other countries may think this is the norm, especially for such a beautiful area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Argyle on the Park. I had a lovely apartment on the pool level. It was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated with modern furniture. My bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. The location was perfect, so close to shops and beach. The Managers were really lovely, so friendly and welcoming. My only negative feedback would be that my balcony door didn't lock and I felt the front door needed more secure locking. Other than that really nice and I would highly recommend.

The property is in a fabulous location with stunning views over the water and mountains. We have stayed here numerous times over the last 20 years through several changes of management and until now have never been disappointed. This time was so different.||Disappointment Number 1.|Having booked and confirmed 9 months in advance for a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 adults and 2 children, I was stunned to see the second bedroom contained a double bed which both children (aged 9 and 12) were expected to sleep in for 6 nights. We assumed this was because there was nothing else available. After the children had unpacked and settled in, I mentioned this to the manager the reply was "if you had told me earlier I could have moved you". There was no explanation as to why she allocated such an unsuitable apartment when others were available. ||Disappointment Number 2.|As we were flying in with limited room in our luggage, I contacted the manager to enquire if there was a coffee plunger in our apartment. The answer was she didn't know but if there wasn't one when we arrived they would probably be able to find one. I asked again on arrival and was told to contact them if there was not one in the apartment. |The reality was, there was no coffee plunger and none was found. If we had been told this when I called we would not have had any expectation of our request being fulfilled.|The managers seem to be so apathetic and unhelpful, they can't even be bothered to communicate truthfully with guests or allocate the apartment confirmed and suitable to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.|The management rights to the complex are currently for sale and probably is an indication of the complete lack of interest of the current management.|

We stayed in a one bedroom unit on level 3. It had a pleasant view from the balcony and the location was very good. We were disappointed with the unit as it was so small, tiny kitchen and no where to store our luggage etc. The bedroom was very small with a double bed. The bathroom, toilet and laundry were combined in a very compact area which was not at all comfortable.

Have to agree with the last few reviews. The property managers are appalling. We were regulars here for over ten years but have shied away specifically because of the rude, arrogant property managers. They have also let the venue become very tired and a little grubby during their tenure, all the little "extras" that make a place comfortable have been removed over the years and not replaced (eg. lamps, hairdryer, valances on bed, cushions, bedside alarm clock, tissues, tea/coffee/small pack of complimentary biscuits and insufficient toiletries for the length of your stay). There are also always issues with the garage door. The managers are largely unavailable when you need help, or if they do respond, you get a mouthful for having dared interrupt them, particularly from Karen. When I tried to respectfully raise some of the issues with her, she told me to stay elsewhere next time as we obvious can't be pleased! She would be well suited to work in a correctional facility - not hospitality. What a welcome piece of news that the management rights are for sale. Let's hope whomever takes over is a people person!

We had a lovely 3rd level room with balcony views over the inlet, park and towards Alexandria Heads. Picture perfect. Older style room with character, but in very good condition with all amenities and facilities to be self contained. Secure, underground parking. Staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful
