What an amazing location, I booked one night and was very grateful to get an early check in to get settled into a very clean room with kitchenette, microwave and decent size fridge, the bed was comfortable and soft, the balcony has a magnificent view of the strand of Magnetic Island. A great selection of snacks and drinks were available from the vending machines in the foyer. Access to parking from the front and rear of the property. All in all, a relaxing stay.

Good place and I enjoyed it. Staff good room good, bed OK but shower over bath makes us older people feel unsafe. Maybe a non slip shower mat or something similar would be safer. A ceiling fan in bed area would be great too. As there is no food etc here maybe a vending machine with frozen meals that could be heated in provided microwave.

That all said, I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms are a little small but you don't need a place to enjoy being here, on the 11th floor the view was exceptional such a beautiful place to wind down after a long week. The pool was awesome to be in and around on a hot summer day with humidity of 55+ aircon works fantastic in the room and balcony views are beautiful best enjoyed in the cooler evenings as the sun heads west.
Recommended best enjoyed with good people and good beer.

4 star hotel with 5 star service. The receptionists have all been incredibly helpful and accommodating. They’ve answered the phone promptly each time I’ve called.

Helped me with making a last second booking and then accommodated to my request to change rooms because I had vertigo from booking a room that was too high for me lol

The executive ocean view room is clean and tidy. Has a great view and the location is very central. Very happy with my choice to stay here. Plenty of free parking on-site is a huge tick as well if you’re bringing a vehicle or hiring a car while you’re here.

I stayed at Aquarius on the Beach from January 26th to 27th, 2025, in a room advertised as “Executive Superior.” Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and did not meet the promised standard.

The room had a strong, unpleasant smell of old food, which reception failed to address adequately. Instead of offering me another room, I was handed a disinfectant spray and expected to clean the room myself. Additionally, the furniture and walls were damaged, the air vents were visibly dirty, the refrigerator was leaking, and the balcony door could not close properly.

When I contacted the hotel after my stay, I did receive a response, but the management showed no willingness to acknowledge the issues. They even claimed the room was clean, which is clearly untrue and disproven by the photos I took.

Given the poor state of the room and the lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this hotel. My experience was far below the expected standard, and I canceled a subsequent reservation because I could not imagine staying there again.

Perfect location for our stay in Townsville, before heading to Magnetic Island. We were greeted at the front desk with a lovely welcome and an upgrade. The apartment had everything for a couple of stay, u fortunately we only booked 1 night. Definitely could have stayed longer with a kitchenette, king bed and lounge. The balcony overlooked the beach and below were many cafes and restaurants to choose from. |First impression of Townsville was very positive.

So disappointing that this came up as a reasonable booking on booking.com came to stay here as my son was having surgery in Townsville hospital. The room was disgusting, there were tumbleweed hairballs that I picked up myself off the floor, black hairs in the bath and McDonald’s chips on the floor. When I ask for late checkout they said there was no late check out even though the paperwork they give you says you can ask for a late checkout. Just a yuck place to stay .

The rooms are a little dated but are also reasonably sized and very clean, the bed was comfy, the location convenient and the views were exceptional.
The staff are also lovely and so willing to help wherever they can.
