I am amazed with some of the comments people make. Working in the area so spent 2 nights just for sleeping. Manager was very nice. Room was clean. Parking area could be made a lot brighter for car security. The front fountain needs to be removed or replaced, what an eyesore when you drive in. Seriously, if it has had a face lift then they need to get the painters/tradesmen back to finish the job or start again. CANNOT believe the price!!!! I travel quite a bit here and overseas so without being disrespectful the room really was worth $100/$110 a night NOT $190.00 a night. It did appear to be a great setting for a family but not at that price.

Very sad state of affairs at the money grabbing facility. Where to start. Dog friendly! not the small fenced area was littered with cigarette butts. Fortunately our dog doesn't eat them. We choose a different room to that which was offered as we needed a room that hadn't been used by a smoker. Big mistake, the frosted glass door to the garden had 2 large cracks wow. The curtains were hanging off the hooks at one end. cups weren't cleaned properly. The only light in the room that worked was beside the main door, the bedside lamp didn't work I don't think it was connected. 2 nights were booked and paid. Came back to the room after the first night NO ROOM SERVICE management explained that they only do the minimum which means they hadn't been into our room at all. Bin not emptied bed not made no free towels or soap etc. cups not cleaned. etc.etc. NO FIRE ALARM IN OUR ROOM management said smokers remove them!! If they were hard wired they would know they were taken off! Tried to get a refund but was given a food discount voucher for the Chinese place next door. to be used a a specific date only!! We are moving back to area as locals they have made a huge mistake as we have been locals there for many years in the past.

We were able to get a room last minute 8:30pm on a Saturday night. The gentleman working on the front desk was lovely, polite and very welcoming. The room was nice and clean. Amazing bed and pillows in room 208. Had a great shower too! Very quite and off the main road. We had an enjoyable stay and will definitely stay here again next time. Score this place A+ in all areas! Thank you! Daniel and Sabina.

This resort had everything except breakfast.||The pool was very clean and wonderful for all ages.||The table tennis and billiards table all where used by our family.||The pet friendly room was wonderful our little dog had his little yard outside our room .I couldn't have wished for more.||There is an excellent Chinese restaurant up the hill from the motel and the food was very good.||The price was exceptional for what we got. Highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised at the price for our last minute booking until we arrived and then we knew why.||While the room was cleanish .. apart from the rusty stain down the back of the door, the glassware was mostly on the balcony filled with cigarette butts from the previous visitors, next to a pile of vomit. We mentioned to the staff on the desk while running out to an uber for the night. Their response was that the cleaners had already left for the day. Surely they are then responsible for tidying this mess! When we left in the morning reception wasn’t even open to discuss this further.||Flat pillows, no tips on the pool cues. Paper thin walls (We woke to a screaming baby)

Our family booked two rooms. The upstairs room (room 223) was actually pretty good - yeah, not fancy but clean and beds were hard (which I like). Problem was with the downstairs room - it was musty to the extreme. There is obviously a dampness problem in the room (room 118). One of my family had to go and sleep in the car - it was that bad.

If it was just the upstairs room then it would be 3 stars. However the downstairs room would be 0 stars if it was possible to give this rating.

I would suggest you stay somewhere else unless you were hard pressed to find another place. The place is severely run down, we had numerous issues with our room such as: 1. Kettle, coffee, tea and sugar but no cups? 2. Ironing board didn't stay up and almost burnt myself twice, iron supplied leaked all the water you put in it. 3. Bathroom issues, hot water tap in shower leaked hot water so when you turned the taps off you got burnt by hot water the funny thing is they tucked a hair tie in to try and stop the leak. We ran out of toilet paper (only the one roll) had to go to reception (closed) and ended up stealing the toilet paper from the communal toilets. 4. Only 3 lights in room, one at entrance and two small opposite side of bed and only one works so very dark in the room. the place looked dirty and has obviously been neglected. Grounds look terrible with the pond that looks like the KOI even want to get out. Tennis court is horrible with net that is degrading. Basketball ring is bent and only about 7 ft high, the place is not a resort but worst then a motel. Also if you stay multiple nights they don't make up your room each day so be prepared to have nothing done. $250/night for them to do absolutely nothing. Worst place i have every stayed at and i've stayed at alot of places.

"Resort" is a pretty strong word to describe the Apollo; Apollo Motor-Inn would be more fitting. It is understaffed and not well maintained. Only 2/5 of the cleaning staff showed up our first night and that portion didn't have enough time to clean our rooms. The place was, on the whole, clean, however. The rooms are awkward; there were two queen beds, each on the opposite wall. One had no bedside table or lamp and was right next to the television.

One must hire pool towels for $1. These towels cannot be taken to the beach. Each room has a balcony, but the balcony has no outdoor furniture. The door to the balcony advises you to keep it deadbolted at all times for your safety. The grounds are overgrown and need caring for badly. They're hesitant to give you two keys to a room. Nothing was just nice and easy at the Apollo.

If you're looking for a not-terribly-expensive place in the Terrigal area, the Apollo will do. However, if you're looking for a "resort", the Apollo isn't it.
