I stayed here whilst doing a course in Brisbane recently. It's not the Hilton by any means but what it lacks in posh furniture and decor it makes up for in the fantastic and friendly service. I was made to feel so incredibly welcome and their hospitality was second to none. The breakfast was great and I thought it was an extremely reasonable price for what I got. I loved the fact there was a balcony where you could sit out of an evening and just relax. All together a very pleasant stay.

We love this bed and breakfast. Have stayed there 7 times. The best way to describe Annies is to say imagine staying at your Grandmothers house in 1970. It is not old and grubby as some reviewers think. It is a preserved historical B and B that has retained its charm by NOT being renovated. To renovate Annies would be a crime in my opinion. All the rooms are cosy and clean. We have stayed in both ensuite and shared bathroom rooms and have no real preference to be honest as the shared bathroom is not a problem at all. Very close to the city centre (5 minute walk) and superb value for money for inner city accommodation. Also, there is a small back verandah that allows smoking which is a bonus as many CBD hotels do not offer this. Its a small thing but adds to the comfortable feel of Annies. Highly recommend

annie's shandon inn is a quaint bnb place in brisbane. location wise, it's excellent - not even a 5 minute walk away from the central station and less than a 10 minute walk from queen's street mall. ||||in terms of amenities, each room comes with a comfortable bed and quilt, a cupboard, table and a sink. the bathrooms are shared bathrooms, but they are clean, large and well-lit. also, different bathrooms for the ladies and gents. ||||breakfast is not a fancy affair - toast, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. it's enough to pep you up for the day before you head out and get brunch elsewhere. ||||the owners/managers are lovely and will help you with whatever queries you have. there isn't a curfew, but you will be asked to keep noise levels to a minimum after 7pm, which i felt was very fair. ||||price-wise, it's a steal for the location and the service.

We had 2 nights here. Lovely couple who run the place, very warm and welcoming. The shower was our best one yet! Breakfast was simple but good and there's free tea and coffee throughout the day and good free wifi in the room too! The washing and drying machines also came in handy 🙂 would definitely stay here again.

Cozy bed and breakfast in the heart of Brisbane city, just two blocks from the central station and very short distance (on foot) from any other attractions (it takes approx.15 min. even to the south bank ).||Owners very kind and polite, they made us feel at home although we were far away thousands of kilometers. Breakfast good enough, no frills anyway.||Our ensuite triple room was clean and simple with Air Conditioning and free wi-fi; the price was relly affordable for what we got (something like 75 euros per night...): I recommend to everyone!

We stayed just one night in a twin room with a private bathroom. The managers were very helpful, dealing well with our late arrival and giving us some interesting background to the inn and the city. It is, as other reviewers have noted, like stepping back a few decades, but in a good way.

I just loved this quaint and comfortable accomodation. Its a great place- crisp white sheets , Clean and comfortable. Right in centre of Brisbane. Hospitality by Managers which beats any hotel I have ever stayed in. You can talk with other travellers on the back verandah. Brisbane has something unique and very memorable in this tiny hotel. I look forward to another stay.

LOVED IT!!! Absolutely wonderful staff! The accomodations were basic yet thoughtful. I really enjoyed my time at ASI. They were accomadating and even offered support and help with some technical difficulties that I had. Also, you cannot beat the location that this is in. Very ideal for backpackers. Overall, I would definately book with them if I am ever in Brisbane.
