What a gorgeous velodrome! A seriously world class venue! So close to the action with a great seating plan. Fair warning though it gets very warm in here.

It's nice to hear that so many people like the velodrome. I was one of 16 German carpenters who implemented this project. Approximately 52 km of wooden slats were used and around 1.2 tons of nails were used. A total of 145m³ of wood was used. The project lasted 2 months.

Attended the 6 day cycling series here during the cycling festival and it was awesome. You are so close to the action and the ability to enter the middle section and get up close to the competitors was very special.
It's a great asset for Qld cycling and Brisbane sport in general.

Fantastic facility. Newley built. Grand stands are slighly uncomfortable but all else made up for it. Great acoustics. Track is great.

Came to watch the Aus National races which was exciting. There was plenty of spare seats but be warned, it gets hot in the velodrome even at night. I think the ceiling fans aren't allowed to be turned on during racing.
While there is a LED scoreboard, it would be nice to have a bit more information for the crowd like sprint speeds, how the different disciplines work etc. Otherwise it's a bit of a mystery.
All in all, a great night out watching the speedsters.
