We came here from Sydney for a romantic getaway away from the noise of the city. It came with complimentary wine which we sipped in the jacuzzi watching the brightest stars shining over mountain views. The host Jane went above and beyond to make our stay just perfect. There were handmade flower arrangements and her own museli. The villa was immaculate with a fully furnished kitchen and fluffy linen. The location is wonderful next to a crystal clear river and close to town which has all of the amenities you would need for a great trip. Thank you for having us and we will definitely be returning!

This was one of the most beautiful, restful and relaxing places we have visited. From the time we arrived our lovely hosts orientated us to some of the most secluded places on the never never creek to experience the absolute beauty of this region. We were welcomed to a modern and spotlessly clean villa with a lovely selection of fresh food and wine. We enjoyed the romantic view over the mountains while having a relaxing spa (and wine!). This is the perfect get away...3 days felt like a week! We have recommended this place to so many of our friends...and we have already booked another weekend back there. Thanks for the memories ?|

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. It is a great spot for peace and quiet. The location is so lush and only 10 mins from Bellingen.||Our host was lovely and provided a small selection of lovely edibles on our arrival!||The bed was comfy and clean throughout with all the bits and pieces you'll need. Loved the aniseed soap!||The cabin has its own outdoor hot tub which was really lovely to relax in at night.||When we stayed it was about 34 degrees! Really hot! Luckily there is a waterhole only a 5 min walk away which is gorgeous! The cabin has an a/c unit in the living room but not in the bedroom, there is a fan in the bedroom but that wasn't a great option. I would definitely recommend the cabin, just not in really hot weather!

This is a lovely, clean cabin in beautiful surroundings. My husband and I came here for a "luxury" weekend to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We found the cabin clean and enjoyed the surroundings and spa. Unfortunately the usual details associated with a "luxury" retreat were mostly missing here. We were promised Champagne on arrival but were given red wine, the website lists breakfast including fruit of which there was none. The breakfast rations that were included were meagre with very little milk, coffee and jam for two people for two days. The breakfast muesli contained weevils, worms and webs. The owner was not able to meet us due to family commitments which we understand but there was not a single travel brochure or map at the venue. To top all of this off, the owner began texting us at 8:15am on our last day to ask when we were leaving as he had an early check in! This was very rude and unheard of in any of our previous "luxury" stays. It is often the little details that make you feel welcome and cared for and these were sorely missing here. Other sub standard details included a broken door lock, bed light not working, chipped paint, a stained toilet cistern, fly screen holes and friendly ants in the kitchen. We were very cold at night, even with all the heaters on as there was only a very light doona on the bed and no apparent insulation. The owner and website over promise and under deliver. Take your own breakfast and doona if you're looking for luxury.

We stayed at Aniseed for 2 nights - the peace and tranquility of these Villas is relaxation at its best. The promised land is a perfect place for a swim and a glass of wine. Bellingen is a quaint little place to also spend some time. There are plenty of water holes and things to do.

We stayed 2 nights in early June and had a marvellous time. In hindsight we wished we had booked the place for a week as there is plenty to see in the area. The villa we stayed in was great. Extremely clean, neat and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and happy to assist with any questions regarding places of interest to see in the area or places to eat in nearby Bellingen. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Aniseed.

Peaceful surrounding and quality accommodation. Close to Bellingen and walk 50m to the Never Never River. Located in The Promised Land, Aniseed Luxury Villas is the perfect weekend away or mid week escape. Sitting in the spa, looking out at the sun set over the ranges is a perfect way to end the day.

Glorious location. It was heaven waking up to a fabulous view. Pity it was spoiled by the dirty windows. The deck could have done with a wash as well as it was quite dusty.
The accommodation is nice, but to describe it as luxurios is a stretch. Our host was friendly on arrival, however, when trying to book, he either didn't reply to my messages or was slow to respond. Lots of too. For improvement.
