Great value, location and customer service. Room was clean. The only negative was the beds were uncomfortable, so the next time I go, I will take my mattress topper. Will definitely be back.

We just experienced 6 great days in a one bedroom apartment at the Anchorage on Stradbroke. The location right on the beach is awesome as is the elevated boardwalk to the beach. The staff were excellent particularly Bec who helped from booking to arrival. We will certainly be coming again.

Fabulous location on the east side of the island right on the beach. Great friendly, accommodating manager, good admin staff. Clean, well equipped kitchen, nice view from balcony, nice small pool for a dip after beach walks or a scuba dive.

The hotel is really, really near the beach. They have private access to the beach. The room was good. 1 double bed and 1 single bed in the room. No AC/heater. Looks like a proper apartment inside. Need to ask for new towel. They don't change it.

We loved our stay here. It’s such a great location, amazing enviroment, awesome board walk to the beach and an old school relaxed vibe. For the price it can’t be beat. Thanks Anchorage we really loved our holiday 🙏🌊❤️ PS- go get a prawn roll from The Prawn Shack, a dragon fruit lychee & chocolate gelato from Whale Tail Gelato and seafood from Rufus King and you will be so happy.

We rented 3 rooms in the far right complex. They are the only 3 units with air conditioning and at night in February we needed it because it was hot. The apartments are very clean, very big and very comfy and all have a big balcony with great views. We stayed here to be close to Manta Ray dive shop and to be right on their fabulous beach. Pool was clean and it was great to have a bus stop right out front to get us to Point Lookout. Each day the kookaburras would visit us on the railing of our balcony and the wildlife of koala and kangaroos at the North Gorge walk was incredible especially at sunset. The only 3 restaurants within walking distance was at the Bowls Club, Oasis and take out from the gas station. Surprisingly the gas station food was pretty good for a burger and the fries were great. The bowls club food was ok but the on tap beer was fantastic. Oasis was a little pricey but good. Our fav place to eat was the prawn shack in Point Lookout. Great subs and they have take away pizzas that you can cook at home. Fantastic! We loved Straddie Island and would definitely stay at Anchorage again.

Stayed at Anchorage on Straddie recently. Very convenient, clean and comfortable. Requested a late check out as we had to go on a 4 wheel drive tour around the island and come back late. It was Oked by the onsite manager without a hassle. Plenty of heaters were available as it was winter. Hope they will install A/C soon before the summer.
