We had really bad experience with bad attitude of Hannah. We selected pet accepable when we booked and our booking was confirmed. When we arrived，Hannab only accept our dog stayed outside of the house. We said that our dog was never outsode of house and it was dangerous for dog. Shr needed us to pay 100$ deposit. If she found any hairs of dog on bed，we couldn‘t get 100$ back. We couldn't accept the condition， Hannah refused us to live in. At that time， it's 8:30PM and we couldn’t find a property which accept pet during Christmas time. We had to change our holiday plans and drived overnight back to home.Take care of bokking this property which need to live together with Hannah and her family and other guests.

When we arrived the lawns hadn't been mowed the place looked like an unkempt rental property. We gave it a chance and went inside. Hannah was very friendly. We booked the deluxe double room. It was just a bedroom in a house. No air conditioning ( 37 degree heat) you could barely walk around the bed. It had a pedestal fan from the cheapo shop. When we got back from our night out it was stinking hot. I put the fan on but no breeze came from it. The owner had gone to bed. I had to pull the fan apart and clean the grill and blades with my t-shirt. Bingo the fan blew a breeze from it . Bedside table had a 1 inch layer of dust on it. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Bathroom was filthy. Old razors everywhere. Bits of old soap in the shower but no new soap in the shower. The bottom of the shower filled up with water to the extent I thought it was going to overflow.Shower head barely spat water out. Bed was very uncomfortable. I used all the spare pillows (4) and still my head was nearly on the mattress they were so thin. No top sheet on the bed. I don't think the bottom one was a sheet. All in all a good way for someone to make a quick buck. Rent your spare rooms out. Some advice to Hannah. Make sure it is cleaned occasionally and that the place somehow resembles photo's online . Not happy. Won't be back. Don't know where all the other reviewers stayed but it couldn't have been here.

We stayed here in September 2019 and enjoyed our stay, but I forgot to review it on Airbnb. We stayed again recently unexpectedly after our car broke down on the way home from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The house is clean and tidy and has a lovely garden out the back. It is also close to the theme parks. Can’t fault anything, and we will stay again in the future. Would recommend to anyone.

This place was basic yet nice. Hannah who runs the place was very helpful and welcoming. The food was a bit basic, room was nice and clean but plain. It’s a good place to stay if you want to be near the theme parks! Hannah was helpful with providing information and transportation however can talk a bit much sometimes. I’m a hotel person so I wouldn’t stay there again, However overall I kinda enjoyed myself and it was an alright place to stay!

Just a room in someones house, not a guesthouse / hotel! No airco, no lock on the door and communal areas are shared with the property owners. It’s more like couch-surfing.

Had a very poor experience here, we booked the room last minute and found out an hour later that it’s less than an hour from our home so we called to ask if we could cancel without charge. The owner wouldn’t do this. So we decided to check it out. Upon arrival we were requested to take our shoes off to enter a typical suburban home and were showed our “deluxe double room”. I don’t know what would be deluxe about it, there’s no aircon and it’s mid summer in QLD! There’s nothing much more than a bed and a chair, the room couldn’t even be locked! The communal areas, the owners living room where the husband was watching tv...

We decided to take our loss and just go home. When we did this Hannah the owner said that we could cancel without fee if booking.com would call her to confirm as she didn’t have internet to accept this herself online. She didn’t request me to do it right at that moment but I did try on the way home. Perhaps I called the wrong number but I got a line that only operated during working hours, so I called back the first possible day and tried to arrange the cancellation. Unfortunately Hannah didn’t pick up.

When I finally spoke to Hannah she informed me that she couldn’t help me. I should have arranged it that same evening, so she could rent the room to someone else. That evening it was around 8pm when we left and the latest check in time was 10pm and there was another tripe room free, with just a slight difference in charge...

I still have been charged the full price of the room which really is not worth the money.

Our stay at Hanna's place during the Commonwealth Games was very pleasant. Hanna is most accomodating - she picked us up from the airport and was very helpful in giving us lifts to the closest train station or arranging a lift with other guests travelling in the same direction. The house is very comfortable with plenty of amenities. We stayed in the queen room with a private ensuite and it was extremely comfortable. We would recommend Hanna's place to anyone travelling to the Gold Coast.
