My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day 2024 at Amara. We had their Valentine's Day set menu. The food was amazing! The atmosphere was relaxing! I loved the decor! The service was exceptional! I note Amara has been awarded a chef's hat. We've eaten in 2 and 3 hatted restaurants and we hope Amara soon adds another hat as they deserve it!

Had a wonderful meal for my birthday at Amara. The location is amazing with a wonderful view over the plains below. We arrived just before sunset so we could have a pre-dinner drink in the lounge area and enjoy the view and the open fire. The staff Molly and Kertu (not sure if spelt correctly) were very warm and friendly which also added to the experience. Our seven course meal was superb with lots of unusual but amazing flavours and food pairings. I particularly enjoyed some of the plant-based courses, being primarily plant based myself. The standouts for me were the kale, spinach and tomato course, the lamb and beetroot course and the strawberry, coconut and rhubarb dessert. Beetroot and rhubarb are two of my favourite foods. It was such a relaxed evening which will go down as one of my favourite food experiences ever. Nice to have a special meal on a special occasion.

Stunning views & relaxing ambience in a secluded mountainous area. Staff were all so lovely, welcoming & helpful. The food service was fantastic as there was no standard menu & we were surprised by the chef. We had a really delicious beef main course & fragrant veggie side dishes.

Amara is probably one of the best places to eat in Sydney. The food is simply extraordinary, especially at dinner. The presentation is understatedly elegant, paying tribute to the surroundings and in harmony with the cosy atmosphere. Every time we come here the team has dreamt up some new combination of fresh, local produce and paired it with wonderful wines and the occasional Louis Roederer Champagne. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and careful to meet your dietary requirements.

Who knew such a place was tucked away in Bowen Mountain. Pre dinner drinks in front of the fireplace. Start dinner when you're ready, no rush. Such a nice way to do dinner, not to mention the food was exceptional. We will go back

Amara is an experience! Starts off strong from the moment the gates open to being greeted at the entrance and pre-dinner drink with a view. A seasonal menu from the freshest ingredients and an uncomplicated but varied wine list. Plus Brendan is thanks for such a great evening. What a gem hidden in the Hawkesbury!

This place is a whole experience my partner and I had the most incredible time for his birthday!! We were surprised being greeted at the door and having our car moved for us, then you’re constantly looked after the whole evening by an array of lovely staff - compliments to Ella and Brendan for their amazing service! The food was incredible and so well thought out with each dish comprising of multiple elements that went so well together. It’s in a gorgeous location with a beautiful look out to enjoy cocktails on the balcony and a telescope to enjoy the moon. Was such an awesome experience, can’t recommend this place highly enough!!
