I stay here 6 times a year for work trips and find the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool and rooftop area is nice for sunset and the gym is usually empty. The beds are comfortable and I get a tiny chocolate brownie upon arrival! Great location too. Thank you!

Heartless Policies, Rude Staff, and Misleading Communication||My son and I booked an overnight stay at this hotel, hoping for a much-needed break after a difficult time. Just five days before Christmas, we buried my grandmother, and we had also recently suffered a car accident that wrote off my car. This short trip was meant to be our Christmas gift to ourselves—a chance to recover and find some peace.||Instead, the experience was a complete disaster. After traveling two hours each way—using two buses and a train—we arrived at the hotel only to be blindsided by a $200 incidental deposit requirement. This policy was never communicated anywhere during the booking process or in the confirmation email. The image I’ve included clearly shows that "No credit card was required for this booking," which makes the deposit demand even more shocking. The only mention of the deposit was buried deep in the terms and conditions, which we only discovered after returning home.||The staff at reception were rude, condescending, and completely lacking in empathy. They spoke down to us as if we weren’t worth their time and offered no solutions, no suggestions, and no compassion. Despite trying several cards to pay the deposit, they refused to help and would not accept cash as an alternative.||After hours of exhausting travel and emotional strain, we were forced to leave without staying the night. To make matters worse, we were denied a refund, even though the failure to communicate this deposit requirement was entirely on Agoda and the hotel.||This experience was utterly heartbreaking and infuriating. The lack of transparency and professionalism, coupled with the complete lack of compassion, was disgraceful. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to avoid it. They clearly prioritize hiding policies over providing a positive guest experience.

I visited with my mother for an event and stayed in an executive 2 bed apartment which was perfect for us. Very comfortable bed and lounge. The location was great and the best coffee I've ever had was at Piccolo for Him across the road. Would recommend.

Great Place. Friendly staff, good location. The apartment had everything you need to stay in, and the location is close enough to the city centre to walk there. Some great trendy shops locally and lots of food options close bye. Good value for money …. everything about our visit to the apartments was good.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times now. Room standard and service is consistent and the location is great - we can walk to food and local hot spots.
What prompted me to leave this review however, is that I had dropped a significant piece of jewellery off the bedside table and unknowingly left the hotel without it. We received a call a few hours later saying they had the item and they would keep it safe until we could retrieve it. 5 stars on this alone. Thank you, thank you. 🙏

What is with the funky carpet smell walking down the hallway to the room? The shower pressure was so low in my room I couldn't wash the conditioner out, so frustrating! Was looking forward to my first time here but it was low grade.
Why do they charge $200 to credit card as holding fee, still not returned after three business days, if they took just a dollar I wouldn't care and they would have your credit card details if any damage was to be found. Coming from NSW I only had a digital drivers licence for ID which they don't accept because they can't scan it.
Tiny little complaints but together all annoying really TBH.
The pool is great.

My bathroom had an aroma of sewerage coming from the sink and shower drains, this was also the case in two of my colleagues rooms.
I was charged a late checkout fee for the first time in my decades of touring, which I thought was unnecessarily greedy considering we booked seven rooms for the weekend.

I had a superb stay at Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments! The reception staff were excellent, especially Ron, Tiff, and Sefo, who assisted with all my requests without any hassle. The room was clean and fresh, with stylish decor that still looks like new. |The rooftop leisure area was a highlight – the heated pool made winter days enjoyable, and the entire rooftop was perfect for relaxing and having a BBQ. |The lobby is small but beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel!
