Apartment 306 - 3rd floor. 9 day stay. ||Pros: |-Beautiful location. |-Lots of options to dine out. |-Lovely pool area. -Great BBQ area. |-Comfortable king size bed. ||Cons: |-The condition of the bathroom was ordinary with rotting walls and black build up along the bottom of shower doors. |-Leaky shower which we assume is the cause of water damage to various areas. |-No lifts. |- Pool is rather shallow. |- No storage in bathroom such as vanity drawers.

We enjoyed a week-long holiday in Palm Cove, choosing to (randomly) stay at Alassio, based on both availability and price.

Online communication was regular and in-depth, notifying us of requirements and guiding us through the arrival process, room key access, etc. We were satisfied with this level of interaction and were prepared and confident upon reaching the premises.

Finding Alassio was straightforward, turning off the Captain Cook Hwy into Warren St, one bend, straight through one roundabout, then turning right into the property's driveway just before reaching the waterfront. You can't go wrong.

Pass-code access allowed us into the underground car park (no issues finding a spot the entire week) and, from there, up a set of flights to our room. There are no lifts, so walking is your only option.

The room itself, which we obtained at a very reasonable rate for the week period, was impressive and more than we'd anticipated. From the sizeable bathroom and bedroom, the open kitchen/dining/living, and the respectable balcony area, the room offered everything we'd need - fridge, stove, microwave, oven, jug, cutlery/crockery, coffee machine, decent TV, bedroom air-con, large bed, hot shower, toilet.

On an aside, and the only slight criticism I'll offer (to echo the sentiment of other reviewers), is that the pool is perhaps too small and shallow for full use. That being said, we still spent quite some time in there, floating around chatting, and weren't overly concerned.

The location is superb and cannot be underestimated. Walk out the front gate and you're on the beach. The esplanade is inundated with stores, many designated to quench your hunger and thirst. O'Donnells Irish Bar & Grill is your literal neighbour, provides some very commendable meals and trades day and night. And yes, they do have daily evening entertainment playing (covers artists, instrumental performers, karaoke) but it's not excessively loud and finishes up relatively early. At worst, close the balcony sliding door and the sound is greatly reduced.

Overall, we cannot fault our Alassio experience. Even though we never met or spoke to a single person from initial booking to now, our online interactions ensured that we were armed with all the information we'd need. Subsequently, we found the place easily, accessed our room without issue, and enjoyed the creature comforts, location, local shops/cafes/restaurants, and sunshine from that point on. The entire adventure was a complete success and well worth the 5 star review.

We booked after losing original booking elsewhere due to covid🥴😷 lockdowns in Melbourne 2019. Palm Cove gets booked out quickly. Stayed one night broke up our travel time this was great for us perfect posy great Irish restaurant next door. Had a 2 bed small room but great bathroom huge spa ith a balcony overlooking the pool. Found the stairs a bit of a hard climb with cases. Luckily the manager was there offered to help thankyou so much lovely man. Very quiet place small lip between bedroom to bathroom a bit of a trip hazard but have seen this alot elsewhere. Pool was nice small but enjoyed the atmosphere. The only thing we found if l had to pick was re do the pool floor very rough a bit patchy not a great look, kept scraping on toes ouch!🙄 Nice fountain, spa was up stair well. Under cover secure parking great. We liked thus place was the right price for a comfy stay.

Stayed in 104-2, small ground floor poolside room with no view even of the pool. The toilet was faulty and gurgled noisily 24/7, even with the water turned off. No plumber was available to fix during our weekend stay. The ‘bed’ was actually two singles pushed together with a mattress topper over, so the two beds continually moved apart and you could roll into the dip in the centre. The aformentioned toilet is near the entrance to the room, it has a trip hazard lip as you enter, but the (very nice) bathroom is at the opposite end. The veneer on the bedsides was peeling. Overall, a rather shabby place, in need of refurnishing, and the drains fixing.

We like Alassio because of the great location. It is at the end of Williams Esplanade and walkable distance to restaurants and shops. The apartments are comfortable. The place is intimate and quiet although the pool is a bit small. Overall a very nice stay.

We booked 2 x 2 bedroom suites and had problems with both. The hotel management lost 1 booking and the other was for an apartment that had been sold and that group were overcharged from the price quoted on the confirmation email. I also could not believe when we were asked to pay $3 for pool towels when none were supplied in the room. Rooms were not clean and we were unable to comment to wifi. My advice if you book is to check and then re-check to make sure your booking is not lost or overcharged.

Booked a weekend in Palm Cove for a wedding and based on the pictures and affordability we decided to stay a few extra nights. Our apartment with pool view isn't just a pool view, the porch has a gate straight into the pool yard. Despite being so close to a common space privacy does not feel like an issue. Gardens are established and well kept. The apartment is one bedroom and is large. Even in late September there is no need for running the aircon as the tiled apartment is breezy and cool. Out the front door are dining and drinking options and the walk along the beach is lovely. Staff on arrival were friendly and we have really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.
