I have been training with Aequus Movement for 4 years now, and I can honestly say it has been life-changing. When I first started at the gym, I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in my knees and had chronic pain. I was even advised to stop lifting weights and just focus on swimming or biking. However, the trainers at Aequus completely turned things around for me. They took the time to assess my movement patterns and helped me correct them, ensuring I was performing exercises with the right technique. As a result, I'm now able to lift weights safely, target the correct muscle groups, and, most importantly, I no longer experience knee pain. The community at Aequus is also incredibly supportive and welcoming, making every session enjoyable. I highly recommend Aequus Movement to anyone looking for expert training and a supportive fitness community!

My partner and I used the pool and sauna at Aequus while we were in Canberra for a month for work. Such a great pool for swimming laps (especially when the sun was streaming in), with the added benefits of magnesium for your skin and muscles! The owners were super accomodating in offering us a short term membership. We will definitely use this place again next time we're in Canberra.

I was in Canberra for several months and I spent the final month visiting Aequus Movement regularly for sauna and cold plunge.
Excellent facilities, clean, and easy to enter, use and exit.
And a lovely welcome from the staff member when I joined.
If I am back in Canberra I will visit again.
Thank you!

Decent pool and sauna, very expensive but worth it. Clean facilities, kind and helpful staff.
However, the male clientele are quite off-putting. They stare and leer at female patrons, get in the way on purpose if you’re swimming laps, talk loudly on their phones, sometimes scream in the ice bath very early in the morning, and want to chit-chat (flirt) in the sauna. If you’re a women I recommend coming with a male friend or spouse because unfortunately the men who frequent here are strange.

Fantastic gym. The trainers are highly skilled and the small group classes provide individualised supervised training in a fun environment. The facilities are beautiful, it feels like a resort. Highly recommend Aequus to anyone needing to improve their health and well-being.

It’s by far the best environment to train and change your relationship with your health and body. The trainers are super knowledgeable (didn’t know you could activate quite so many muscles), they’re kind and patient but also super fun. The participants inspire me with their strength and dedication. Let’s just say that for a Londoner who’s not looked very well after their body, Aequus Movement is a great help 🥳🙌.

My favourite part of the gym is being able to take a swim in the pool and hot sauna of a evening, changes my whole mood, after a hard day or even a day where I feel flat, it leaves me energised and ready for the next task. The staff are always friendly and easy going, highly recommend.

Swam here while working in ACT and the facility is lovely but FAR OUT the pool was cold! It was below freezing outside and I gasped getting in the cold cold water. People are lovely
