Thank you for a great dinner experience . Friendly and warm service. Food is packed full of flavours. Seafood dishes are excellent. Sorry, there are no pictures of the mains. I forgot to take them as we all just dove straight in and demolished them. Lol
Great drinks options as well. Decor takes you back in time for the food and this restaurant is worth the visit.

My husband and I went to this little gem in Hervey Bay to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we so glad we did it!
For entree, I had Baby Lobster Mornay and my hubby has Garlic Prawns a La Crème, which were delicious!! Then for dinner my hubby had Fillet Mignon and I had the Duckling Mandarine, both dishes were superb! We ordered also a French wine, which complemented our meal very well. And the cherry on top was the amazing sweet treat that we got to finish our dining experience (courtesy from the owners for our wedding anniversary celebration)!
This restaurant is small and cosy, perfect for couples, where you can have a romantic dinner and not having other tables listening to your conversations! The waitress was very helpful and friendly! You won’t be disappointed!

Wow what an experience. We had escargot and salmon trout terrine for entree. For mains we had Beef Roularde and Mignon Rossini. The pictures speak for themselves. Food was very well presented, very tasty and hot. Exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent.

Wonderful evening of French cuisine. The food and drinks were all amazing. Definitely one of the top restaurants in town, if you are looking for something special and not your regular meat and chips this is the place to go.

It’s hard to find the words to adequately describe our dining experience. For a good idea refer to other 1 star reviews that reference Faulty Towers. The entree was barely eatable and consisted of the brains and snails but nevertheless approached the main meal with hope. Unfortunately, our hope was delusional and the main had vegetables that ranged from crunchy underdone to watery and overcooked. The duck was so dry and overdone that it was a struggle to swallow. The accompanying mandarin sauce was so bitter it was hard to even taste test. Besides the meal being a huge disappointment, the front of house service and demeanor left a lot to be desired. We did not risk sticking around for dessert and wasting more money. It’s hard to believe this place has survived for so long when there are so many other noteworthy places to dine in the Bay.

Absolutely amazing. We were greeted on arrival and had a beautiful table. Its a really charming restaurant with lots of character. You could be sitting anywhere in the world in this place, very lucky to have it right here in Torquay. We ordered escargot, lambs brains and garlic mini bagette for entree. Service was excellent from both waitresses. Mains we had, pork with pink peppercorn sauce, duckling with mandarin, and lobster mornay. Food was incredible. Highly recommended booking as they are booked out most nights. Thank you to the two lovely ladies who looked after us (one was the owner). Our little treat at the end of the meal was just incredible. Our son loved the smarties. We will surely be back on our next visit to Hervey Bay.

Dined here 5th of October and was a mistake. The year before I rang them but was hung up on. That should have been a sign.

Being booked out is an illusion, the top part the tables were empty. Our entrees were bland and cheesy, the crepe didn’t resemble a crepe and the scallops looked like something from the 80s in a tacky shell and surrounded by shiny rice crackers ( we should have left then).

The food got much worse from this point!
The steak was ordinary surrounded by bacon I didn’t notice and sad boiled to oblivion vegetables my mother would have forced me to eat. The zucchini was sad covered with store bought tomato pasta sauce. The duck mandarin looked like it was a victim of nuclear test and was inedible.
The waitress was weird and arrogant. When I asked for the bill early, she chastised me saying, “Can’t you see I’m serving a customer” . She was shocked we didn’t like the meal.

I have eaten in many restaurants and this is by far the worst I’ve ever been in my life! Echos of Kitchen nightmares and Faulty Towers. From sampling the food they have lost the drive and passion to cook! Avoid at all costs, do not waste your money or your time!
