I've been an attendee and a volunteer for this festival since about 2014. It feels magical in a way I can't describe. Even knowing behind the scenes, and working really hard to help make it happen, the magic is still there. Much love to my fellow vols and to the festival/museum staff!! Can't wait to work with you all again soon!

We were here for the History Festival which was being held for the first time at this location. Great variety of stalls, demonstrations and workshops to attend. Had a thoroughly enjoying day and will certainly go again.

My partner and I have been to the Abbey Medieval Festival a few times now, and we have enjoyed it every single time. There’s always so much to see and do while there (markets, the joust, shows, talks, food & drink, re-enactments, encampments, workshops etc.). Highly recommend!

Brilliant spectacle. Such detail and effort to realism from all the participants. They were very welcoming and explained their tools, crafts and life at those times. Good food also.

One of our favourite days of the year. So many people dress up, and there are displays of camps, demonstrations of dancing, sword fighting, and birds of prey. The joust is fun, and this year, we attended the knighting ceremony. The Abbey and museum are worth the visit. You're Festival ticket gets you into the museum for 6 months. Next year, we'll go to the Medieval Banquet.

The festival was fantastic this year! It was buzzing with people, but not overcrowded like a couple of years ago. It was perfect! The reinactors, crafts people, musicians, jousters and all stall holders and encampments were marvellous. I loved it and am keen to learn about other events that the museum holds.
