I had the pleasure of staying at A Villa Gail, and it was a delightful experience. Gail is a warm and welcoming host who went out of her way to ensure our comfort. She took the time to meet my family, regularly checked in on us, and provided fantastic recommendations like Muddy’s playground, which became a favorite for my kid.

The villa itself was neat and well-maintained, offering breathtaking views that made every sunrise memorable. However, it's worth noting that there are quite a few stairs to navigate. Additionally, guests should be cautious about bugs and lizards within the villa. Despite these minor considerations, our overall stay was enjoyable, thanks to Gail's hospitality and the charming qualities of the villa.

Thank you to Gail for sharing her beautiful home with us. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment that has absolute waterfront location (beware bringing too much luggage as there are lots of stairs down to the apartment). Whether you are in bed, cooking dinner, swimming or relaxing you will see and hear the beauty of the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing, as are the views down to Cairns.||||The apartment is well-appointed and clean. Gail is generous with her knowledge and support so that you can enjoy the local area. The boat club is a free courtesy bus away, the local store is within walking distance, as are several good cafes. We didn’t have a car but were luckily fit enough to walk the hill.||||You won’t regret staying at A Villa Gail.

Amazing !!!
Stunning location on top of the cliffs @ Yorkeys Knob beach.
What a view .
To wake up to sunrise was a fantastic
experience !!!
Overlooking the beautiful ocean the rooms are clean and very peaceful.
Gail was the perfect host.
Informative and very knowledgeable about her town and it's beautiful surroundings.
She is very friendly and breakfast was always served with a huge smile and friendly suggestions of what to do with our days according to the weather and sea conditions.
The selection of fresh fruit every morning was mind blowing.
Or family of 7 stayed for a week and thoughly enjoyed our experience with Gail @ A villa Gail.

We will be back and have already booked for next year.

A Villa Gail was one of those lucky finds. You are overlooking the ocean as far as the eye can see, with dolphins swimming and tropical morning sunrises to start your day.The accomodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Gail the owner is very friendly, genuinely kind and a wealth of information. Fresh tropical fruits are provided every day and you can just sit, relax and take it all in, with arguably the best views in Cairns. How wonderful it would be to live here permanantly!

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment perched on a cliff and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The views are unbelievably stunning and the sound of the waves and wildlife and sense of privacy are not what you'd get from a big impersonal resort. The house has a retro 60s 70s vibe but it has great personality. Gail is a delightful hostess with great energy and is lovely to chat to. I really didn't want to recommend this place because I wanted to keep it a secret so we can return again. It is a little touch of Amalfi in the very quiet Yorkie's Knob.

This was the most amazing AirBnB experience I've had so far. From the breathtaking views to the hospitality shown by Gail (the owner), this stay has truly been incredible.
From the moment you arrive, you could think you were in Santorini. The beautiful architecture, though aged sets the scene with Grecian sculptures as you enter the property. As you wind down the many stairs (no donkeys here!) Every step through the property feels like you are getting further away from the hustle and bustle of life. We stayed in the Deluxe Appartment. It was equipped with all the essentials - coffee, milk, condiments and a view to die for. The bed was incredibly comfortable and made it difficult to get up given that the view was 100% uninterrupted water views. Gail was the perfect host! Communication was excellent and she was so welcoming and kind. She even offered, and gave us a lift to the local boat club after the courtesy bus forgot us. The only tip - there are many stairs, a carry on or back pack is recommended. I can't wait to visit again 😁

We stayed 2 nights this month in the large "top" room. This layered b & b is built on a cliff top at the highest point in Yorkys Knob. Views are stunning. Our room had panoramic windows facing east over the ocean & south over the bay & towards Cairns cbd. ||You need a car to climb the very steep, narrow winding road up to the property. The buildings are dated & in need of some maintenance but everything works & Gail is a good housekeeper.

Stunning view from villa Gail. What a place. You can see Cairns in the distance. Breakfast was great and Gail was so kind to us. We had a great new years eve. Beautifull place to stay. The view from the rocks is so beautyfull. The sea is different every day.
