I stayed here for over two months with my doggo and both Alf and Margaret were more rhan welcoming to the both of us. The villa I was in was more than enough space while I got uses to the new move. The villa was very clean and they supplied all the utilities that I needed while mine were in storage. They took amazing care of myself and my dog while I was at work and were very kind caring and gentle with her while I was out. They have amazing knowledge of this town and the best grandparent atmosphere it was very welcoming and I didn't feel like I was a stranger staying at their place but a family member coming home I would highly recommend them for anyone coming to alice to relocate or just passing through.

Margaret and Alf are a lovely couple who have been hosting guests in their B & B for several years. They are very friendly and we loved their hospitality. The breakfasts with several menu options, were cooked to order and delicious.|We stayed in the private villa which offers its own entrance around the side of the house through the back garden and pool area. The villa includes a comfortable queen bed, (plus a single bed which we did not use), fully equipped kitchen, and living room in an open floor plan, plus a private bathroom. We also took advantage of the clothes washing machine and outside clothes lines. (Clothes dry fast in the Australian sun.) |Would definitely stay here again!|

Apart from being an outstanding property, you secure the most outstanding of hosts. |From my initial contact with Margaret, I was blown away by her supportive generosity and her flexibility with our travel plans. Margaret was at the front path to meet us. She had prepared an excellent meal which was just the start of many shared meals and stimulating conversations together with both her and her best support act, Alf.|Both Margaret and Alf went out of their way to make our stay in Alice so happy and safe. |Our accomodation in the villa was a 5 star experience. Everything was beautifully appointed.with high quality bedding , furnishings etc. Everything is spotlessly maintained.|There were too many thoughtful kindnesses to list.|But if you are looking for excellent accomodation in Alice Springs, hosted by two good humans …look no further. Thank you sincerely Margaret and Alf for such a memorable stay.

We stayed 4 nights and Margaret & Alf made us feel at home . They were perfect hosts that go beyond the level of service . They provide a terrific breakfast ( to each individual tastes and requirements) they do beyond to please.
They also shared their nice bottles of red wines with us and fed us and other guests pizzas .
Alf is a great story teller and has great yarns of his wonderful experiences with the First Nation People.
We had a unforgettable trip to Alice and the hosts are informative of all the attractions .
Do not miss this special Hospitality - it is genuine and in short supply .

I stayed at "A Good Rest B&B" in Alice Spring and the hosts Margaret and Alf were a very warm and welcoming couple who could not do enough for their guests. They helped me out in a particular difficult situation as I had booked the wrong dates. Fortunately however they managed to accommodate me. I was extremely comfortable and the B&B felt like a home away from home. The place was extremely clean and breakfasts delicious and plentiful. In the evenings I enjoyed a drink with Margaret and Alf and felt part of the family. I strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Australia's Great Centre.

The host at A Good Rest, Margaret and Alf, are welcoming, accommodating and kind. The breakfasts included in the tariff are top notch. The well appointed rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location is quiet and within walking distance of the Telegraph Station, town and the end of the Larapinta Trail. I had an absolutely wonderful week in Alice Springs staying at A Good Rest. Margaret and Alf will mind your dog for no extra charge and treat it like they do their own.

Marg and Alf were wonderful hosts who picked us up from town and took us to get our dinner! Their house was immaculate, the beds comfortable and the breakfast was full of choice and more than we could eat! They also gave us some good tips for our trip up to Darwin. Walked round the corner to school off the air, then the dice us to pick up our hire car! Highly recommend
