A wonderful historic home to explore. Take part in a guided tour by the lovely volunteers who will walk you through each of the rooms while explaining its history and bring the home to life. A beautiful home set in the middle of Bathurst, highly recommended.

Miss Traill's house is a wonderful old home, preserved and managed by the National Trust. It is another time capsule to a time past, with the last resident having passed away in 1976. The house showcases how life was lived in a regional city by those of independent means.
The tour guides are knowledgable and share some amazing stories of the house and it's previous inhabitants.
Visiting hours are only on Sundays, as it is attended to by volunteers.
As one of several historical houses in the area, Miss Traill's House is a must see for anyone interested in the local history of Bathurst.

A really nice old property that could be so much more...in need of an injection of funds from The National Trust to improve and preserve the house and the gardens really need some love and attention. The attendants here are full of knowledge and are engaging and enthusiastic, some more support for them would be good to see! Go and look to see what could be so much more...

My girlfriend and I visited this beautiful home over the recent June long weekend - we loved it! It was so interesting walking through the home because it is so well maintained, it's like walking into a time machine and coming out in the early 1900's! I love art and architecture and if you do to you'll love your visit. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable and it was so interesting learning how the home and Miss Traill were so closely linked to the growth of the Bathurst area. I would definitely recommend a visit to Miss Traill's House to anyone visiting Bathurst.
