My husband and I went to a scare fest a 10-15 minute drive away last weekend. I was absolutely thrilled with the size of the room - I know they advertise suites but you never know what you’re going to get until you check in. Well, a suite it was. Walk in to the room to a living area with sofa, coffee table, dining set, big desk and tv with lots of cupboard space. Bedroom was huge, lots of floor space, 2 desks, big TV and huge bed. Not just a huge bed but a very comfortable one, comfy pillows. Bathroom was small but that was a small price to pay for the living space, nice hot powerful shower too. The gentleman who checked us in and out was polite and friendly. We originally planned to dine elsewhere but changed our minds so came back just after 8pm and they happily accommodated us for an evening meal. This was delicious, I can recommend the spicy chicken wings, Brie bites and the chicken supreme. Excellent value for money at the restaurant as well as the hotel in general. |Buffet breakfast is always hit and miss so you can’t expect too much, but to my amazement the food was all hot, fresh and the bacon and sausage were really tasty, just a bonus as far as I am concerned, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in the area, I have paid a lot more money for tiny and less well-equipped rooms in the past with less than satisfactory breakfasts, so I really was amazed at the value for money on offer here.

We stayed at the hotel as part of my daughters birthday present from me and my wife, and our trip to Liverpool. I would definitely come back to this hotel, and i wished we stayed an extra day. Everything was clean, very disabled friendly, the staff was amazing, very friendly and always on hand to make our stay more comfortable and memorable. The bathroom was very spacious, but it was looking a bit tired and needs a tad updating, but it was very clean. Took my daughter for a swim before we checked out. Changing rooms were clean and spotless. All in all, me and my wife would love to come back again and would recommend to anyone who wants to get away for a perfect relaxation experience.

Chose to stay here when exhibiting at an event at Aintree racecourse as the rooms are spacious and value for money. Breakfast was good. However we also chose this hotel as it had a swimming pool and it would have been nice to relax and enjoy it after a busy day at the show but it was not to be as the pool was closed due to insufficient chlorine levels at least that is what we were told. The other downside is that the girl on reception could do with some extra training in customer services, her manner was rather abrupt and flippant as if she couldn't care less . the rest of the staff seemed fine.

I booked this place as we needed somewhere to stay for a funeral and I was hoping it would be a notch up from your standard Travelodge or Premier Inn. In hindsight I should have stuck with the Premier Inn. |We arrived around 5pm. It is easy to get to. There is ample free car parking. The girl who checked us in was nice and friendly and first impressions were good.|The issues started when we got to our room. The rooms are very spacious, which is a plus. You walk into a seating area with a sofa, table and chairs, desk and TV. The bathroom is slightly on the small side, but perfectly adequate. The shower, though, is definitely not designed for the taller person. I'm around 6ft and had to crouch down under the shower head to wash my hair. |The main problems with the room were found in the bedroom. It seems very badly designed. The room was very dark. It definitely needs lighting at both ends of the room. There was a lamp and plug sockets on one side of the bed only. The lamp was not working. We had to swap a bulb out from a lamp in the seating area, which we never used. There was a squashed daddy long legs on the wall and the handle had fallen off the window and was left on the side, so the window wouldn't actually close properly, which made the room a bit chilly. Luckily the heating system in the room is pretty good and we were able to warm the room up quickly. |To be fair we told a member of staff about the issues and she said she would make a note of them for the handover and asked if we wanted another room. If another room was available why were we given this room in the first place? Surely it's standard to report a broken window when cleaning and checking the room and get it fixed?|Like I said, we were here for a funeral. We wanted a stress free stay and not the hassle of moving rooms. |We had food in the restaurant later that night and were given free dessert after the acting manager heard about our issues. The food in the restaurant was good. We went for the chicken supreme and fish and chips. I had my usual gripe of not enough veg. It always annoys me when the veg option is served on the same sized dish as the sauce. There should be more veg than sauce! But anyway it was a nice option to save us going elsewhere for food. |We had breakfast here too. There is a hot buffet breakfast, cereals, fruit, yogurt and pastries, so lots of choice, but we found it all to be average quality. We didn't bother on the second morning, even though we had paid for it. |As a final couple of points, the free WiFi was a bonus, but neither of us found the pillows to be very comfy. They were very firm and hard, which some people will like. |Overall we just felt a bit underwhelmed with our visit and wouldn't stay again. The important things seemed to be overlooked and some areas need a bit more TLC. The pictures made the hotel look a lot more four star than it actually felt in reality. |

One of my favorite hotels on my trip. The staff were fantastic. They had good advice on things to do and were very accommodating. The hotel is a bit far from anything fun, but they make up for it with a good spa and restaurant.

We booked through best Western direct, where they advertise the gym and pool facilities as part of the stay. The gym was closed when we got there and would be for the duration of our stay, this was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. When raising this was told tough this is not part of your stay it is an extra not guaranteed, oh and we did put it on Booking.com. why not on your own site|Hotel is in an industrial estate so not the nicest to look at, entrance is nice but room was very shabby. Breakfast was nice but as quiet food had dried up.
