Beachcomber International Resort - Coolangatta, Queensland

The furniture is lackluster. The kitchen is minimally stocked. The balcony overlooking the street offered us seating and a side table.
The gym needs a bit of help but I managed. The secure parking garage is very good. There is also street parking. There are nice outdoor common areas, too.
This is one street back from the beach. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a large grocery store.
You don't need a car once you are here.

Booked 2 bedroom apartment. Saw previous photos of what the rooms should be like.

On arrival, was greeted with 1 bedroom and a study nook. Hot & stuffy.

Curtains didn't fully close. Street lights right outside shining in.

Balcony view directly opposite calypso and blocked out.

Good location, carparking is secure. Can walk anywhere in Coolangatta township.

Got recommended the Tweed River Cruise by staff, would not go again.

Stayed here for a week
And well I wouldn't rebook for another week
Location was amazing but sadly it stopped there
Room was average at best, staff besides one lady Sharon who was amazing the rest lacked hospitality skills
They also had workers in the building during our whole stay nothing was said To us about this, which mean early wake ups to banging and drilling all way through till approx 10pm
There was times both elevators were locked from being used (there is only 2 elevators in whole building)
As the workers have decided to use them so one point we were locked in our level for 38 mins

Whilst staying at Beach House timesharing this week, my son & I decided to check out Beachcomber international, Coolangatta. First impressions…?. Approaching the older female receptionist was, l must say, anything but welcoming as she just continuously stared at us. On introducing myself & the reason for our visit, I was staggered by the totally unprofessional, ……passive/aggressive greeting by a so important ‘front of house’ employee.
‘’Well, ya know you can’t go in any of the rooms, THEY’RE FULL’. Certainly some need for some urgent staff training in that important role.

However……? now for the positives!! What a delight to make the acquaintance of Sharon, who very generously suggested she show us around. Sharon proved to be exceedingly knowledgeable, most engaging, & covered, most professionally, all aspects of what your resort had to offer. Well done Sharon * Give her pay rise!!

Wonderful location and great apartments with everything you could possibly need. Full kitchen and great shower. Bed was comfy but the pull out couch in the lounge could have been a bit better. Nice big balcony to sit in the afternoon and people watch. Great to have a washing machine and dryer and the roof top pool was lovely.

Great location, super friendly staff and brilliant views. Thank you to the staff at the Beachcomber Resort, the resort is incredibly well maintained. Everything worked, we were lucky enough to put on the 9th floor with brilliant views of the ocean, thank you!! this made my holiday. The lifts are fast, my sons enjoyed the gym on a daily basis and reception is open early and late 8pm!!. Pools were both great and very well maintained as was the spa on the roof. I used the barbecues twice - both times perfectly clean and easy to use! - everything you need right there. Short walk to the beach and excellent cafes so close by. My family and I hope to see you all again soon!!!

13 story resort one street back from the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and have all facilities necessary to live there for sometime, including washing machine, microwave, crockery and cutlery.
There are numerous restaurants a short walk from there. Woolworths is only 5 minutes walk down Griffith Street. There are also several coffee shops within a stones throw. A couple of pubs with good meals and of course, beer, close by. The reception staff at the resort are very helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle bus which will take you from the airport to the resort and return. Just ring up the day before and book it. There are many buses which go past the front door. All as you need to do is go down to the newsagent and buy a "Go" card. Seniors get it cheaper. Download 'My translink' app onto your phone for bus times. Its very good.
There is an underground car park if you have a vehicle. Your door swipe card will get you into the car park.
