Had a fun experience here! The weather was perfect & the ski lift to the top was totally relaxing watching the beautiful scenery roll by. Everything you need for a great day on the slope. Cafe style food & amenities available at the top.

This restaurant feels like a mountain cabin that we have seen in many movies. You can get dry and warm there and the hot chocolate it's a great call to help you to get ready for the next slopes.

Food is ok, the highlight for us was the sweet potato fries, it's a must try!

Awesome backdrop for a drink or a meal.
Painful 70s disco blaring too loudly was a bit of a mood killer at 10am.
Would be nice if they had a stout or a dark ale on tap, or the option of a mulled wine to have while gazing at the snow outside.

Attended the Tredbo Blues Festival 2022 ~ absolutely amazing. Capped numbers due to Covid but that didn't detract from the vibe and atmosphere. Will attend again in 2023. A definite Must visit destination ?

Merritts Gondola
Wow a real hit, so comfortable to be out of the elements and warm. The 8 person gondola with external ski rack was installed in 2020 and replaces the classic 2-seater chair lift that takes you from Thredbo Village Terminal to Merritts. Well done Thredbo.

Great snow cover for the 2021 ski season opening day. Plenty of fresh snow cover, although the wind really picked up at around 50kph.

Merritts Mountain House Restaurant & Bar
The 2021 season opening at Merritts was different with COVID Marshals supervising the venue. I congratulated them on the day, for a great job of controlling entry and assigning tables, really well done guys. It was a longish wait to get in, but totally understandable, it’s usually a long wait during any season to get a table, this time it was orderly. Minestrone soup & Gluehwein filled the spot, not to mention hot chocolate. Then back out for more skiing.

Great atmosphere, great people. Great spot to take a rest and grab a drink or a bite to eat before heading back up to the top. Even the non skiers/boarders can join the vibe by riding the gondola up.
