This is said to be the highest restaurant in Australia. It is a great place to stop before or after hiking the mountain. The food is OK, the Service is good; and the location is terrific. It has limited open hours - so it is best to plan your day hike accordingly.

This is the highest restaurant in Australia. We stopped here on our way back from a hike. The restaurant closes at 3 PM and takes its last order by 2:45 PM. I highly recommend starting your hike early and planning accordingly so you can arrive in time and enjoy the beautiful view. We tried the tomato soup, cheese garlic bread, vegetable pizza, and tiramisu, all of which were absolutely delicious. The coffee was pretty decent, too. The tomato soup was one of the best I've ever had.

Stopped off for lunch after a hike.
The food was great. We had barramundi and lasagne.
The view is spectacular and the staff were extremely friendly.
You can’t book a table but our wait was very short.
The building and internal furnishings could do with an upgrade but the food and views made up for that.
Definitely worth a stop off.

I was delighted to find this great restaurant on the top of the mountain on a visit at Thredbo. Had a cappuccino and a tiramisu, which were amazing. The view was unbelievable. It may be a bit crowded sometimes, but definitely with the wait.

Location is awesome, service was good. Sadly the most important thing was lacking, that being the food quality. You expect to pay a bit more for food and drinks in high tourist areas however, it isn't great to pay those prices when the food is bad. The hot chocolates are watery, not creamy. Ordered the steak sandwich which came out rare. We were not asked how we would like it cooked but you would expect at least medium rare as a minimum. Also ordered the pasta which was mushy and overcooked, with hardly any butter or flavour.
The staff offered to cook the steak for longer which definitely improved the sandwich. They also cooked a new pasta which was not overcooked but it still lacked flavour.
Overall not a great experience but appreciate the efforts of the restaurant to rectify the situation. Still would not recommend.

Welcome to Australia’s highest restaurant. The only way up is via the Kosciuszko Express chairlift with your skis or snowboard so you can get on and off. The kitchen was closed when we arrived but the friendly staff were happy for us to sit and have a drink and order some of the ready made desserts. The view and atmosphere is very cool.

To get here, the chair lift must be taken which is at a cost of $45 per adult, however the scenery on the way up is worth it.
Views from this place were incredible. Service was perfect, staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The food was unexpectedly good for such an isolated place, although expensive.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to thredbo.
