Friday night, and the place was booked out. Staff advised us to get meal orders in quick to ensure we didn't have to wait too long. We were not disappointed. The food didn't take more than 20 minutes, hot and basically all at once. Table of five, four different meals, all cooked as expected. Not a complaint to be had.

Pre wedding get together badly planned by us - booked at last minute for 20 and 43 ( Thanks for confirming everyone!) turned up on busy steak night. Can't speak highly enough of cafe and bar staff - fabulous smiling service and great food. Thanks so much. Couldn't thank you enough!

Terrible experience at the Ocean Grove Hotel. The venue felt neglected and poorly maintained — the bathrooms were unclean, the food was below average, and the prices were unreasonably high for what was offered. Staff behind the bar seemed inexperienced, and the security guard was unnecessarily rude and confrontational toward me and my wife. The atmosphere was unpleasant and not suitable for families. There are much better venues in the area at similar prices. I won’t be returning.

I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or unsafe at a venue. The security at Ocean Grove Hotel, especially one particular guard, behaves in a way that comes across as aggressive, out of control, and totally unprofessional. The atmosphere is hostile, with a disturbing amount of unacceptable behaviour tolerated, including what felt like racist attitudes and redneck mentality from parts of the crowd.

If you value your safety, respect, or decency, I strongly recommend staying far away from this place. Management appears unwilling or unable to address these serious issues.

Sadly a dinner for 10 was disappointing. Steaks were far from what was ordered. Obviously the there is a discrepancy in cooking levels. No one got what they ordered. Salad was a bit of limp greens and garlic bread came out after meals were almost finished.

Great spot but unfortunately the service was rubbish. Took 1.5hrs for food to arrive, even the kids meals and it was not worth the wait! Staff didn’t know where tables were. What a shame for a spot that has so much potential

Booked a table for 5:30 but didn’t receive dinner until 7 pm. The staff did informed us it will take 45 mins before food served. We waited for 1 hour and asked if they could check with the kitchen and the staff said: it will come when it comes. Eventually she came back and informed us we are next to receive our dinner. I ordered 300g porterhouse steak medium well. The steak looks super small like kids meal and not medium well. Disappointed experience.
