Please for the love of all things quality.. get your barista some training!! A hot chocolate or a coffe should not be so hot that I can barely hold onto the take away cup.. I was a barista for 13 years and If I ever did that I’d be taken off the coffe machine.. burnt milk isn’t nice.. get some training and some personality! Your staff speak like robots.. theirs no atmosphere.. theirs no personality no fun no bubbly conversation.. it’s really sad that in such a beautiful town that I live in this is the cafe we have to offer ..

Little hidden gem, nothing fancy but there’s a lot of love put into all the food. The beef toasty was obviously carefully prepared, super tender thick cuts of beef. The desserts all seem home made and were delicious.

Absolutely love this café! The staff are super friendly, and the food is simply divine. Their vanilla slice is hands down the best across the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas—flaky, creamy, and just perfect! Portions are incredibly generous (even enough to keep my teenager satisfied!), and every bite is packed with flavor. The granola cups are a personal favorite—fresh, crunchy, and delicious and keep me full all day. You can tell this lady knows how to cook! And the best part? The prices are straight out of the '90s. Amazing quality, amazing value—highly recommend!

Friendly staff, great food and the best coffee in St Leonards.

The pancakes were a huge hit with the kids and the play area allowed my wife and I to enjoy a nice breakfast. The staff were super friendly, my eggs were great and the coffee on the impressive Slayer machine was awesome.

We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Shugar to anyone down on the Bellarine.
