We loved the accomodation. Quite secluded but still close enough to Gisborne town. Clean and comfortable bed. Had everything we needed for the 2 nights we stayed there. Breakfast was provided which was an added bonus. Will save this for next time.

Fantastic place to stay. Staff went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday a wonderful event and were very grateful.

We felt a little left in the lurch when checking out as instructions didn’t seem clear, but otherwise everything was great.

We had a lovely lunch at Gisborne Peak.
The menu was minimal, but the shared platter was yummy, and woodfire pizza was delicious as well. Friendly staff and great customer service. Indoor and outdoor seating available overlooking the lake.
A variety of wines to purchase and have with your meals. Wine tasting at the cellar door available to purchase .
Accommodation also available on site.

Came here on a weekday. Nice quiet winery. Service was amazing. Lovely lady who served us and even offered to take photo for us.

The wine was superb and serving portion was generous. We also had the chocolate lava cake which was gooey and delicious!

Place was cozy. Would highly recommend to friends and family

We had the pleasure of staying at Gisborne Peak Winery and were greeted by very lovely smiles and service given by Linny and Lynn in the restaurant. They went above and beyond to let us know of local experiences, things to do and places to visit.
The food was also very delicious and well priced.

We were soon given our keys to the accommodation, which was set up very average at most. There were a few things that need revamping and work, but we did enjoy our short and sweet stay and didn’t let us bother us too much.
We would definitely be back for the restaurant!

Hi Team

Tony & myself would be more than happy to write a review about how thrilled we were with our 38th wedding anniversary vacation at your facility.

The cleanliness of our accommodation was impeccable & with all the comforts one would need for an enjoyable holiday.

The peacefulness of our surroundings made our stay very relaxing & enjoyable away from the usual hustle & bustle of our everyday lives.

We enjoyed a scrumptious meal in your restaurant & the service from your hospitality staff, in particular a lady called Lynn was first class.

Lynn was extremely friendly & took the time needed to explain both our menu options & how we could redeem our Red Balloon voucher for our meal & various items in your gift shop.

Tony & myself do travel quite extensively & would not hesitate to recommend your facility to our friends & family & the wider community via the below mentioned platforms.

Although this was our first time staying at your facility it will most certainly not be our last.

Congratulations on managing such a wonderful facility that deserves all of the accolades & awards received to date & beyond.

Randomly chose this place with my husband on a day trip to Gisborne with 2 family members from England and New Zealand. We chose the large sharing platter and a bottle of wine recommended by our hostess Lynn. The food and wine did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and inviting even though cold outside. The service from Lynn was exceptional. We plan to visit again with more family to enjoy. Thank you Lynn for your service with a smile.

Focus on what you can provide not what you can’t.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the reply, I am happy to remove the review as I know the detriment this puts on the business but to give you the background. We arrived at 1pm to be told we were allowed 1 table in a near empty winery, we weren't getting bread or pizza? Due to the fire ban and we were made to feel like we shouldn't have come at all. Now I don't go to many wineries for bread and pizza, the one thing we wanted was to enjoy a wine and some soft drink...it was hot, that is how fire bans work. We were given menus and as I ordered the waitress walked off, the other was making up some rather ellaborate decorative creation I assume was a platter, prep I am sure could have been created earlier in the day. We waited and saw staff wandering around hoping for table water....or even better a glass of chards and maybe a piece of cheese. I explained on entry I wanted cheese and crackers and half explained to the table waiter the same. I wanted to support a business that may be struggling in such time but with a 1 to 1 staff clientel ratio....alas 20mins in the heat and not a drop to drink....hope this makes sense?

Go up
