I booked Rooks Edge B&B complete venue for my 50th birthday party. Owners James and Ronelle were so flexible and accommodating. I was able to move furniture and style the venue how I wanted. There was a kitchen available for my catering, two massive fridges for food and drinks. Keg and wood fired pizza oven availability. The main venue is super spacious and modern, with the five bedrooms, 3 with ensuites all so beautiful, clean and perfect for a romantic getaway. My family loved being able to enjoy the party and retire for the evening. The rooms have sound proofing so they were not disturbed by the loud music at the party in the central room. The property is a stunning working farm with animals. My guests loved the amazing sunset with the lerderderg forest in the background. Lighting was stunning for photos. There was ample room for 75+ guests. Huge air-conditioning kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Polished concrete floors throughout the house gave a sleek modern feel and easy to clean any spills. I would highly recommend Rooks Edge for a quiet private getaway right through to a larger function like my 50th or wedding.

Booked this place last minute after our original plans had to change and we couldn't have been happier.
Beautiful area with spacious and comfortable rooms and great views (sunsets are spectacular). James and Ronelle cooked us a barbeque on our first night which was unexpected but hugely appreciated and enjoyable.
We will definitely return again and will recommend Rooks Edge to friends and family.

By far the best, most relaxing place to stay and enjoy the countryside wrote being only 10 mts from gisborne. Fantastic hosts. You can see all the thoughtful touches they included when they built this guest space. We will be back again with several family members!

This place is extremely relaxing and environment friendly. Very neat and spacious rooms, dining, living and kitchen made us feel very comfortable. We were delighted by two lambs named Baby and a beautiful red parrot. Ronelle and James, thank you so much for your hospitality and creating such an amazing property and managing it so well.

Booked for the purpose to switch off from our busy lives in suburbia. Our 4 night stay over the Easter weekend was everything we could of hoped for and more. Firstly the accommodation is top notch, comfy bed, complete block out curtains, (made it easy to sleep in) beautiful bathroom, lovely comfortable kitchen and seating area. Had everything we needed. Fantastic breakfast provided. The grounds are gorgeous with great views for sunrises and sunsets out the window.||The hosts Ronelle and James are so welcoming and friendly and shared with us their knowledge of the farm and the animals. Pizza night on Saturday night cooking them in the outdoor pizza oven - delicious pizzas!! ||There is also Coopers Animal Rescue shelter on the property and is a great experience to visit. ||Overall Rooks Edge was a fantastic place to stay and will be back again one day.
