Loved the Brett Whitely exhibition. It was very well curated. And it was free! I wasn’t a big fan before but I am now. This architecturally beautiful building in a gorgeous location is a real gem - totally unexpected in this agricultural town. The staff are all friendly, enthusiastic and proud of this wonderful facility. The gift shop was great as was the shop in the tourist information next door.

I visit this terrific cultural addition to the Goulburn Valley Region especially the Greater City of Shepparton! Always worth a couple of hours to wander up and down the floors of art! And a coffee brake at the excellent cafe off the 1st floor is a must do! Bar Sam operates on selected dates too.

The museum and Brett Whiteley exhibition today was just brilliant. A very well curated space across all floors, be sure to their historical collection and the community space. All excellent.
Staff were brilliant and friendly. NGV take note!!!!!!
We had lunch at Cafe there too and it was also superb.

I love the modern architectural design of the Shepparton Art Museum. Each time I visit SAM the exhibits are different. This October, I particularly enjoyed the ceramic exhibition. And the Indigenous paintings are always amazing. The SAM shop also has a great collection of high quality pottery - I'll be buying some for Christmas presents on my next trip over from Adelaide.

Free entrance for a Spacious and Vibrant Arts Museum of Shepparton.
We visited on Saturday afternoon and entered directly with no ques.
Highly recommended with the view of park lake.
