I stayed at The Mantra, Shepparton on Thursday 15/5/25. The room was very small - smaller than most. The bathroom had NO bench space at all (it's just a sink), so couldn't put anything to be ready to use, like make-up, moisturizers, hair straighter, hand-towel, etc. There was only one hook for a shower towel, which was annoying as there was 2 of us staying. The shower leaked at the bottom. Reception closes at 5pm so couldn't get bottled water after that time. The fridge is not cold, and our (self-supplied) OJ was warm to drink the next morning. I asked for a tax invoice to be sent to me on the morning of departure, (Friday), but it wasn't sent. As an ACCOR member, I am entitled to a drink on arrival, however there are no facilities for that (felt they could have offered a can of coke as an option, but they didn't). We were able to park on the premises, but some people missed out and they weren't happy (not a lot of carparks there at the moment). On a positive note, staff were friendly. I won't stay again, and there are a lot of motel/hotel options in Shepparton so will try a different place next time.

Parking is an issue. Didn’t like my car on main road. Otherwise fantastic. If you get a car spot in the car park don’t move.

Rubbish still in the room's bins and lack of vacuuming; really makes you question if the place is being cleaned...fairly basic expectation of a hotel

Apart from that glaring oversight it was fine.

A complete stuff up trying to speak to staff. You need to leave messages to get someone to call you back and no replies. Completely stuffed up our booking. We gad a deluxe room and a 2 bedroom booked in for an event and we checked in our 2 bedroom was cancelled due to miscommunication. Insufficient car parks. Really disappointed with the service having travelled this far. Deluxe room was small compared to photos advertised. Reception area needs to lift their game.
