We had dinner at this small pub and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The meal I had was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavour. It’s such a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re after a great pub meal in a relaxed setting!

I was very impressed with the extensive range of typical Aussie pub menu listing through to pizzas, plate size of offering ( both in entree and mains) could feed the hungriest tourist, and the plate presentation was excellent. The real surprise was all this at very fair $$$ tariff.
Dining Service was great and the beer cold.
This is a pub you should not drive past.
I am going again soon. Ray.

The Dookie district is a great place to visit this time of year, or anytime really. So is the Dookie Pub, the Gladstone Hotel. I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment recently with a group of 35 others from all over Victoria. The hospitality and service was great as was lunch meal that I had. I would recommend this hotel for an all encompassing pleasurable experience when on a day trip or just visiting the area. If you are with a larger group, such as ours, it would pay to contact the hotel management in advance and give them a heads up.

Great Country Pub
The guy behind the bar was fantastic, great to have a laugh with.
The whole place was very inviting, meals were great, fire was roaring.

Just a few days ago I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Gladston Hotel Dookie. I am glad I discarded Roys’ review as I found the meal most efficient, well-presented pleasing to the eye and reasonable priced to compared to eating in Shepparton, Melbourne, Port Fairy and a number of other towns. The hospitality, friendliness that you find in country hotels is a pleasure compared to the city eating places. Well done to the Chef and the Owners.

I was part of a large group of 35 that enjoyed a luncheon at the Dookie Pub on the 4th April; drinks were served with a smile and the meals arrived in a timely fashion.I had the risotto it was enjoyable . Lots of good community memorabilia displaced around the walls. Looking forward to the same next yr .
