We went here for the maze with our friends and the kids; pleasantly surprised with the maze and its size. Great fun and entertainment for the kids. The garden was beautiful and cafe was great. We ordered a shared platter, chips and drinks. There was a scheduled wedding when we went and setup looked lovely!

Barrabool Maze estate is a great place for a little weekend adventure with the kids. We started the day off with the perfect breakfast. The food was delicious and well priced. We loved their duck theme going on in the cafe.
So cute!
After a delicious breakfast the adventures started with a walk though the maze followed by exploring the gardens, visiting the resident peacocks and a relaxing walk around the lake.
Just a short drive from Geelong.
You must visit Barrabool Maze Estate.

Great place not too far from Melbourne , beautiful garden, especially during Canolla season (Spring) the golden hills are a place to go! Also , yummy foods from Duck Duck Goose Cafe , perfect getaway for a relaxing day.

March 2025: We loved our day at The Maze - a group of 27 adults and kids.in advance, Wayne
( the friendly boss) helped us plan a set menu (with choices) for the adults. The kids selected from the cafe menu. The food - 3 courses- and the service were excellent. The kids loved the fish and chips and desserts. Definitely value for money, in a lovely setting. The day finished with a very popular maze adventure. A great venue for a family gathering.

We’ve been here before. The food is pretty basic but on a fine day it’s a beautiful setting and lovely to sit outside. There were seven of us this time, all over 70. The staff were very obliging about turning the music down so we could talk. It was raining heavily and we actually had to delay our departure for about 15 minutes till the torrent eased off enough for us to walk with umbrellas. We didn’t have enough among us but the owner gave us two fold-up brollies with no qualms about whether we’d give them back. (I hope my friends do.). This was much appreciated as it was about a 60m walk to the car park.

Visited the place for lunch with family. Loved the nachos not much of the burger. The service could improve too. Purchased the ticket for the maze and the garden. It’s a nice walk inside the garden and kids would love the playground. The maze needs tending but the kids won’t mind if they start to get lost. The place is Instagramable so don’t forget those snaps!

An enjoyable place to stop on the way back from Anglesea to Melbourne. We didn't do the maze or the garden but stopped at the Duck Duck Goose cafe for some lunch. A generous number of tables both inside and outside with ordering at the counter, but friendly staff and good service. I found it a tad on the high side price-wise but grateful to have a relaxing and different place to stop at.

Had a great stay at Barrabool Maze Estate. Perfect location with peaceful surroundings, beautifully gardens, and cute animals. Food is amazing too at the DuckDuckGoose. A perfect escape with charm and character.
