Highly recommend. The kids loved it. We went as a massive group and was nice to see them all smile. Also seeing them load up the train with more Coal when we stopped for 15 minutes was another thing that was exciting for the kids.

Great little activity for the day if you have children.

Delightful train ride from Drysdale to Queenscliff with a 5 course lunch and drinks along the way. Compliments to the staff who were friendly and helpful explaining the meals and sights along the way. 3 trip well worth it !

Did this for my daughter’s 3rd birthday as Puffing Billy sold out too fast. We did the Swan Bay Express, much cheaper than Puffing Billy, we paid for a private compartment and a simple, straight forward experience with no issues. While as an adult it was uneventful and simple, my 3 yr old absolutely loved it. Short and sweet with lovely views, a short drive from Geelong where we stopped for lunch after on our way back home to Melbourne.

We went for the Blues Train. Oh my g'ness brilliant night 100% recommend. A great meal provided. Lots of fun, dancing, and damn fine music.

What a pleasant surprise to find this wonderful,well run Steam Train ride, such a fantastic way to spend an afternoon from Queenscliff Station to Lakers Siding, travelling right along the waters edge for most of the 45minute journey.. Highly recommend this attraction to everyone. The engine crew of Robert, Riley and Noah were extremely friendly , as were the station staff.

This experience was somewhat underwhelming. We paid $65 (for the family of 5) for a view of some water and bushes for a total of 30 mins and spent 15 mins at this very scenic stop: junkyard! Took amazing photos and I can’t wait to never come back!

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon on the Swanbay Express. Clean well presented carriages pulled by an immaculate steam engine. Travels one direction along the bay where several species of birds can be seen then after a quick turn around the magnificent engine pulls you back to Queenscliff in reverse! Good value for money, operated by volunteers and a real trip down memory lane. Definitely recommend.

Nice train ride to take the children on school holidays we got some great photos we have lots of memories. Carriages are clean well maintained, friendly helpful staff. We would have like the trip to go a little longer as we did not want get off so soon from Swan lake.
