Review for the kitchen and bar. Delicious cocktails and food.

We had the seared scallops, scotch fillet and chocolate dome for dessert. All delicious except our steaks were both a little more on the rare side when we ordered medium and medium rare.

Quite possibly the best experience staff wise I have ever had at an IHG hotel (or any hotel for that matter)

Super friendly and attentive staff made check in, bag store and club lounge experience amazing.

Service as been well above what was expected. Look forward to using this as an excuse to come back to Brisbane sooner rather than later 🙂

Front desk staff are cut from a different cloth, the most professional and kind individuals I have ever seen, true masters of their craft and make the entire experience of staying at the intercontinental worth it.

If you are driving, ensure you input the address in navigation, rather than putting the name of the hotel (as of July 11th 2025). The hotel may be closer from Edward street by foot but if you are driving, you have to drive to Elizabeth road, we took 30min looking for this place. And do note that there is flat AUD60 per day valet charge for parking.

Lobby is recently refurbished so quite nice but i wish I can say the same about the room. The room is rather old.. carpet looks like it's from the previous decade and TV from previous century.. bed has wheels so it moved around when the kids go onto the bed..

Location, however, is really awesome. We had great time walking around.

Breakfast was also very good. They had juice machine with lots of different fruits and ginger. Range of food variety while was limited, they offered good quality, wholesome breakfast. They had small Asian corner with congee station.
