My friend and I have been coming here for a few years now. The menu is minimalistic with generous portions that are inexpensive. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Their sundried tomato and pesto chicken toastie is unbeatably the best ive had although today I tried the breakfast toastie which was still exceptional. I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Apart from the fact that Hawthorne Coffee has the best availability in the district in terms of opening times, it is a great place. The coffee is good and, despite a specific range, the good is fantastic. Staff are great. All in all a terrific local meeting place. Oh, and do bring your dog.

I have been coming to Hawthorne Coffee since opening day a few years ago! The team are so friendly & my coffee is perfect every time. They also have the most delicious muffins made fresh daily! A must try cafe in Hawthorne / Bulimba. 10/10!

Service - friendly and kind
Food - I love the breakfast toastie and have this pretty much weekly
Drink - the coffee is strong and they use a great coconut milk which isn’t too sweet
Facilities - toilets are in the complex and always clean.
On weekends it can be busy but the tables are turned over quickly or we get takeaway and walk around Hawthorne Park

This new cafe has a delightful ambience to it. It has a fabulous sunny aspect in the morning, making it a great spot for a weekend catch up with friends.

It's got a good "basic plus" menu that puts it slightly above the average for the other cafes in the area with a "basic" menu. The coffees are reasonably priced too.

Definitely worth adding to your local rotation.

Hands down the best coffee ☕ in Hawthorne. Always hot and delivered to the table with a smile a genuine friendly chat. Unpretentious and very chilled atmosphere.
Also acknowledged my dog I'm sitting in the area and even took the time to give him a treat and a cuddle.
Fantastic is all that needs to be said about Hawthorne Coffee...
